Abalyte is a 2D-roguelike metroidvania that focuses on the player's skill and inventiveness. While other games have crutches or progression systems that help the player beat the game, Abalyte does the opposite and throws you in a spike-pit.
Revenue comes from in-game items and microtransactions, which our price-based model doesn't estimate. Copies below reflect the player base, not paid sales.

Very fun! Does exactly what it says it does!!!
A great start for a game that forces the player to learn different weapons and adapt to enemies and bosses, a shame it isn't completed but the first 3 levels are unique and challenging. The final level isn't that satisfying though
Yes.
Seems weird and feels like unfinished or unpolished. Menus are nice there is potential for something here but I can't tell you what that is because I have no idea what's going on. I had to go into the tutorial to get a weapon, it's not clear how to play without it. If you're thinking about getting this for the 1 achievement it has, don't because it didn't trigger and I've died more than 10 times. I tallied 10 to make sure and had loaded the game just to die in the first place so already had a few deaths before recording.
Good but gone
This game is an absolute lie. It is dead. Love it though. Not a rogue-like by any means. And the game is both buggy (Achievements that are normally unachievable), game features not implemented, etc. The thing is, this game is somewhat competent and had, yes HAD, a bunch of potential. The game's spiritual successor will be a 3D phoenix with over-the-shoulder camera angles. This game has an amazing song in it. I say song because I don't think one song gives you the right to go about saying your game has a "soundtrack." Yeah, it's 1 song, but it's a catchy 1 song. The gameplay is difficult but could have improved just slightly. Air dashing is always a plus, and in this game, Purple Studios decided to make an air-dash that deals damage. That's always a plus in my book. For as long as this game actually remains on here, I'll recommend it to anyone. Even if it is jank and difficult. (I beat a boss with 1 hp just by using a spear. Based?)
