One of the cutest visual novel game I've ever played! As well as being LGBTQ+ inclusive, it's almost inspirational, along with being adorable, well written instead of basing off of stereotypes for the characters it feels almost like a story based off of real events and I can empathize with the characters very well! I love this game from the bottom of my heart and it is one of my favorite out of all the games I've played, because it tells a story and highlights issues that a minority group in our society faces and it tells it well despite the simplicity of the game. Thank you for this gem <3

Something that I really appreciate about this visual novel that probably will not apply to many people is the ease of changing the visual novel's language, allowing one to compare lines of dialogue across languages. Notably, 'A Year of Springs' is likely unique in the regard that both the English and Japanese translations were done by the developer (npckc), it is not often one can find two languages done by the same person, let alone the creator of the work. I can see myself re-reading this in Japanese in the future and having fun in comparing the English text to the Japanese text.

Such a sweet and cozy story about friendship and self-acceptance. I really loved it!

Short but very sweet, and so very very real. I wasn't expecting this story to be so sensitive and touching, but I am happy I played through it together with my Sweetheart. I would recommend this for anyone involved with or acquainted with queer themes and topics. If LGBTQ means anything else than "alphabet salad" to you, you owe yourself to enjoy this story on a quiet night or three.

I've been out to my friends and family as transfem for over a year. So reading this now does hit me in a very sensitive spot, but in a good way. This VN deals with the many trivial but at the same time also overwhelming issues you face, often daily, as a transgender person. It also goes into discussing the more personal issues with self-worth (the lack there of), no sense of belonging, always feeling like the problem, the list goes on. Phenomenal game. I would've cried already on multiple occassions if my emotions weren't buried at the bottom of the ocean by 2 decades of societal pressure to conform to masculine gender standards. I 100% recommend anyone to read this, cis or trans. As a trans person, I think it offers a lot of value in sharing thoughts and emotions regarding one's own feelings and existence as a transgender person. It certainly made me feel a bit better knowing I'm not the only one who feels this way (I relate to Haru extremely much). For a cis person, I think it is very valuable as an insight both into what it means being trans, and what you can do to help a transgender person who has it difficult. It can help you be a better ally, simply put. Short n sweet but does what it does better than anything else I've seen or read so far. Feels nice to actually feel humanised for once.
