5/10 Очередная бесплатная новелла. Примечательно, что у авторов уже есть две более ранние платные. Интересно, почему эту было решено сделать бесплатной? Удивительное. Бесплатной игре в сюжет не смотрят, но я все-таки скажу. Многие критики отмечают, что в современном мире нарастает сценарный кризис. Что в пресловутом Голливуде, что в инди-студиях, делающих самый разнообразный медиа-контент. Техническое исполнение неустанно растет в качестве, но придумывать интересные истории как будто разучились. В этой игре все ровно так - анимированные и полностью озвученные героини, CG выглядят полностью ручными (в смысле, без явных намеков на нейросети), а вот интересную историю как-то не придумали. Вроде бы и положенные драматическому произведению конфликты завезли, но серьезными они предстают только в глазах вчерашнего подростка. Если это ваша первая новелла в жанре повседневности, она произведет впечатление, но я такое видал уже много раз и наверняка забуду сюжет уже через пару месяцев. Плюсы. - Красиво. По-летнему беззаботно. Минусы. - Анимация лица синхронизирована почему-то не с озвучкой, а с пролистыванием. Если листать и читать быстро, рожицы героинь очень смешно корежит. Я ставлю палец вверх, потому что в отсутствие нейтрального варианта оценки всегда стараюсь подбодрить небольшие команды разработчиков, но ждать от этой новеллы многого я бы не стал. Подойдет, чтобы выключить мозг после тяжелого рабочего (или учебного) дня.

This review will be heavily spoilered as I talk a lot about the story and how it made me feel, especially the ending. Please go and experience the game for yourself, it's well, well worth it. This is my first visual novel and, to be honest, I only gave it a chance because I love rythae's work so much. I'm so, so glad I did because, even after just one ending, I can confidently say this is my favourite game of all time, as no other game has had anywhere near as strong of an effect on me. I can't comment much on Akemi, as I took the Sayuri route that meant Akemi had little impact on me[spoiler], although her powerful, if a little aggressive, pep talk and advice towards the end of the game was nice, but it definitely wasn't my highlight from the game[/spoiler]. To be honest, having seen images and screenshots before the release, I knew Sayuri was the character I liked most, and playing the game only reinforced this. I love her bright, bubbly personality and found her to be an incredibly engaging and fun character to talk to. I also found it very easy to identify with the player character, perhaps because I have a similar personality, which enhanced the story even more.[spoiler]This was definitely most obvious during the ending. I won't sum it up here as I believe you should experience it for yourself, but what I will tell you is that it took me on a rollercoaster of emotions. I empathised with both the player character and Sayuri effortlessly, enjoying the dynamic they shared and the rapid yet deep development of their relationship.[/spoiler] While this is related to the ending which I've done so much to avoid spoiling, I want to specially point this out as it is perhaps the highest possible praise I can give this game. The ending made the soulless husk that I call me cry. No other game has managed to bring my emotions out anywhere near as strongly and effectively as A Summer in Our Hearts, and that easily cements its status as my favourite game of all time.[spoiler]The ending easily played with my emotions as I cried when Sayuri told the player character how much pain finding out about the player character's attempt to slip quietly out of her life caused her and felt as happy as can be when she asked the player character to go home with her.[/spoiler] Overall, I simply cannot recommend this game enough and strongly suggest you go and try it for yourself. It's free, after all.

Short and sweet VN.

If you like VN's and are a bit of a romantic at least, then it's definitely worth spending some hours enjoying the game. As it's a free game, don't expect much in the ammount of content, though I must say that, at least about the visual parts, it's pretty good for a free game. The story is mostly concise, the two possible love interests are easy to relate to, although the MC being a naive/dense kid isn't for everyone's tastes, I guess... Still, all in all, well worth the time. Recommended.

Игра "A Summer in Our Hearts" оставила после себя теплое, но немного грустное послевкусие. Сюжет, хоть и не отличается особой оригинальностью, рассказывает трогательную историю о взрослении, дружбе и первой любви на фоне летнего отдыха. Персонажи получились живыми и relatable, за их переживаниями искренне следишь. Визуальный стиль приятный, выполнен в мягких пастельных тонах, создавая атмосферу уюта и ностальгии. Однако, игра не идеальна. Иногда сюжетные повороты кажутся немного предсказуемыми, а некоторые диалоги - чересчур наивными. Геймплей довольно простой и сводится к выбору реплик, но это не является большим минусом, так как акцент сделан на повествовании. В целом, "A Summer in Our Hearts" – это неплохая визуальная новелла, которая может прийтись по вкусу любителям жанра, и тем, кто ищет что-то легкое и душевное для прохождения на один вечер. После прохождения остаётся ощущение, будто прочитал хорошую, но не выдающуюся летнюю книжку.
