10/10 nice puzzle game, maybe even my favourite ever. It's just so short..
Cute little puzzler. Does a nice job of adding features and letting the player figure out how they work.

A straightforward puzzle game. Easy for people who have played a lot of puzzle games, but it still is decently fun and not overly repetitive in its design, though it does feel a bit repetitive at times. I did get a little stuck on a few puzzles because I missed what i was supposed to do.
Casual puzzle game, for the most part too easy but fun, harder level would help because for me this game is just a time killer. Can't run in full screen mode and awful music are mos def a minus. Recommend if you are new to puzzle game genre or just want an easy puzzle game with 2 or 3 tricky levels.
I bought A Snake's Tale out of multiple yearnings at once: -Despair for a game where I can finally play as a snake- a diagetically-portrayed one, mind you, not just a sequence of squares chasing dots; -A good puzzle game; -A growing liking for smaller-project titles due to my chronic inability to afford any of the AAA games or the hardware to run them; -An eagerness to support a fellow Austinite, and aspiring game creator. In each of these, I say A Snake's Tale delivers. --- Turns out this game is a great brain-builder. We learn the rules as we go, and the simple ruleset is used to great versatility. This is definitely a game for one's patience and one's willingness to try different combinations of movements. If, like me, you have a habit in puzzle-like scenarios of just spamming keys and hoping to brute-force things, this simple step-based puzzler will humble you shortly. The solutions themselves are very creative. I would strongly like to attend a seminar delivered by A Snake's Tale's developer about logic and spacial reasoning; his mind is one to be envied that he was able to put each of these together. The fact of playing as a snake takes backseat to the puzzling itself, although it does have more loyalty to snakes than the only other snake-protagonist-claiming game/s I know of do. No fruits here; the food you'll find are eggs for example. -- There is no acutely claimed story, in case it isn't obvious already. However, oddly enough, the level names; the way that the grid hands off from level to level; the different biomes and the different challenges and aesthetic they present; the one or two special snake types who can do something the others cannot; and a sense of personality that comes of the snakes going out of their way to make room for each other; each make it feel like a story experience, simple yet strong, and it really does feel in my opinion like we're taking this little rattlesnake- or, these rattlesnakes- for an adventure in a world where snakes have begun to evolve altruism. I strongly recommend this title for anyone eager to build their minds - and/or keep theirs sharp - and if you like snakes, it's a welcome bonus.
This is a cute little snake game! I would love to see more levels. Some are kind of difficult but the game has some cool functions and quirks with the puzzle and mechanics.
