This game is just narrative trash pushed by the "strong, independent woman" trope. Every single man in this game is portrayed as a dim-witted creep who exists only to get killed by a teenage girl. Don’t get me wrong, I have zero issues with female protagonists. I love games with a well-written female lead. But when I see the main character’s frail mother barely tap a grown-ass thug with a rock and he drops dead on the spot, it breaks all immersion. Or when, in chapter two, this teenage girl takes down a seven-foot brute in full plate armor using a freaking slingshot. It’s a complete mockery of common sense. On top of the forced agendas, the English voice acting is straight-up AWFUL. The actors deliver their lines with zero emotion. Half the time, I wish the characters were just mute so I wouldn't have to suffer through this terrible voice work. As for the plot setup, it’s one giant cliché. The bad guys show up, kill the dad, the mom helps the kids escape, and then she gets left behind to die because some braindead writer decided so.

Incredible narrative and characters. Must play for any fan of plot-focused games
