прикольная стелс игра, сюжет тоже
Story 7/10 Gameplay 7/10 Brother & Sister Interactions 10/10 Total 8/10
A Plague Tale: Innocence is one of those games that surprised me way more than I expected. At first I thought it was just going to be another linear stealth game, but the story and especially the relationship between Amicia and Hugo ended up being the thing that kept me playing. The whole setting is really well done too. Medieval France during the plague is already a pretty depressing setting, but the game makes it feel genuinely horrible. The rats, the disease, the destroyed villages and the constant feeling that you're never really safe create a really good atmosphere. The rat mechanics are probably the most memorable part of the game, and seeing thousands of them move around is still pretty impressive. Gameplay is fairly simple, though. It's mostly stealth, puzzles, throwing things and using the sling, with some upgrades that make things a bit more interesting. It works well for the kind of game it is, but don't expect some deep combat system. There are definitely moments where the gameplay feels a little repetitive. What really carries the game for me is the characters and the story. Watching Amicia and Hugo's relationship develop while everything around them is going to hell works surprisingly well, and there are quite a few emotional moments. It's not perfect and sometimes the game can feel a bit too linear, but overall I really enjoyed it. Definitely a game that I went into with pretty low expectations and came out of much more invested in the story than I expected.
