a Museum of Dubious Splendors, is a storybook from the world of Somewhere. A quiet game about prosaic objects and spurious histories, it is an irreverent rumination on the nature of an archive and forms of recollection.

This game is pretty funny, and the Steam description is accurate: "an irreverent rumination on the nature of an archive and forms of recollection". It offers a perspective on ancient historical accounts. There is essentially no gameplay; you read a big block of text, look at a 3D model, and repeat. The controls for looking around on mouse are smoothed, i.e., your view keeps moving even after you stop moving the mouse, which I find very annoying. For this game, however, there is so little gameplay that it doesn't really make a difference.

Excellent game. Installed it a few years ago, if definitely fueled my need for poetry at the time. Stunning graphics as well. 11/10
I just personally did not enjoy the game. It's not to say that the game was bad, it just ended up not being my cup of tea. I do think that if you're the kind of person who has an appreciation for various styles of art, especially what could be nontraditional art styles that you might really enjoy this game.
