A Fugu's Dive

約16時間でクリア！ ひたすらフグがジャンプをしながら頂上を目指すいわゆる登山ゲー。 ジャンプキングのインスパイア系作品だと思いますが、 イラストや世界観がかわいく本家よりも好みでした！ ジャンプの角度と強弱の調整がものを言うゲームですが、 ふぐの丸みのお陰で失敗するとどこへ飛んでいくか分からないという 鬼畜仕様。 チャレンジ系の企画などで配信映えするゲームだと感じました。 失敗した時のイライラと成功した時の喜びを存分に味わえるとても楽しい作品でした！

Having finished my 3rd run now, I'm happy to say I really enjoyed A Fugu's Dive. If you're a fan of other rage climbing platformers ("Foddians") like Getting Over It, Jump King, A Difficult Game About Climbing, Slimper, etc., you'll certainly appreciate this one too. As usual in the genre, there is a mystery waiting for you at the top of the map, and after being introduced to the controls, you'll need to decide if you have enough curiosity and determination to find out exactly what it is. The simple mouse-only movement mechanic is fun to master, and the difficulty certainly lives up to the genre. The physics are extremely consistent and I encountered no gameplay bugs to speak of. However, the real standout qualities are the polished art style and environmental design, with the cheery cartoon world provoking a feeling of calm contentment in contrast to the punishing gameplay. It's just so lovely to look at that you can't stay mad for too long, even after failing the same jump for the 20th time in a row or launching at the perfectly wrong angle to send you tumbling down to the bottom of the zone.
