After his father is drafted and sent to the front, the protagonist volunteers in Mariupol, leaving his studies behind and ignoring his mother’s fears.
Artyom never takes up a weapon. This is a story about a traumatizing environment, inner conflicts, and the search for one’s place.
Past and present intertwine, turning into an internal dialogue in which Artyom must answer not to the world, but to himself—for fear, for guilt, for the choice he made, and for the choice he did not.
The plot and setting are based on real events, but their details are intentionally composite. We consciously avoid interpreting or appropriating other people’s specific, personal stories.
In terms of genre, the game is inspired by narrative masterpieces such as What Remains of Edith Finch and Firewatch.

great game played it start to finish loved every minute of it i love the plot and how you can change if u wanna go deliver drones to the front or stay a pacifist. the game was very short but i got atleast 3 playthroughs on it before i 100% do recommend if u want a good quick time waster. i dont care if its russian slop its fun and free give it a shot atleast.
