Kuindzhi, 93 is an atmospheric first-person narrative vignette about an 18-year-old boy from Donbas. The story takes us to March 2022, when the world changed forever — into a space where the past, fears, and doubts find their voice.

The game plays like an interactive movie—and it’s actually not bad. It tackles a theme that is highly relevant today, as the world is mired in conflicts and confrontations; we follow the story of an ordinary guy born and living in a war zone. Clearly, the aim is to show the internal conflict within the individual—how he grapples with his own contradictions. I wouldn't label the plot "good" or "bad," given the references to real-world events where the truth might not come to light for another 25 years... The one thing that matters is that you feel for everyone involved. The graphics, achievements, and controls (for this genre) are all solid; I’d normally rate it a 7 out of 10. But there is one major "BUT"! The music you are forced to turn on and listen to throughout the entire route—which takes about 10 minutes—is UNBEARABLE. It is the worst thing to ever happen to music; you’d be better off going deaf... That alone drags my rating down to a 3 out of 10. If you do play it, play without sound—you’ll thank me later. It really is that awful, even though the rest of the game is fine. A big plus is that the game is free, and they probably even put some effort into it.
