7 Little Words and More

Great diversion. Not timed. Challenging and satisfying.

TOO many ads all of a sudden! It’s one thing to sit through an add every couple of rounds. Now they pop up during game play. And they take up half the screen. FIX it please. You will lose your devoted players over this - me included!

Quirky but Good Games are challenging however if you elect to watch an ad to earn a hint, the games often lock up after watching the ad and you do not earn the hint. This has been happening more frequently lately. There are ads between games that tend to be long and repetitive. The only way to avoid ads is to pay, which I refuse to do.

Educational!! I LOVE this app! The variety of games is wonderful and being able to choose my level of difficulty keeps my mind sharp. I learn new words, terms, & phrases on a daily basis (I often have to look things up that I’ve never heard of). It can be challenging, which is why I love it. But best of all, if you have a problem with the app, you can text them and a real person texts you back! What other app does that?

Accessibility issues I have become accustomed to the format in place for 7 Little Words as it has been since September 2021. However, as a blind person, I still find navigating it a bit cumbersome. I especially don’t care for the fact that numbers, symbols, and especially accented letters are not truly readable. As soon as you’re on one of those characters, it automatically reads the next letter. At least the letters I can stop to find out what letter it is phonetically. I’ve also had times when I haven’t understood my screen reader when it’s reading the Sunday puzzle theme, for example. There doesn’t seem to be a way to actually read that character by character. It appears to be hidden text. I tried using the tutorial once, when I got a new phone and had to unlock the puzzles. I didn’t find it helpful at all. This puzzle used to be the most accessible app that I knew of. It was the first app I was really able to figure out how to use on my own without the assistance of a sided person, or even another blind person or a tutorial. I’ve addressed this issue with you all before, but never really got anywhere, but only to receive replies that came across as dismissive and belittling. I know that it has almost been five years since the last major format change, but I would like to see some kind of improvement. I understand the need for uniform apps, however, I don’t believe plug and play is necessary for this app. Thank you.

Motivation provided, but that is all… Big fan for many years, but game no longer opens after providing motivation (since last update). Is the motivation to get off my bum and do something more productive with my life? Thoughts? Thanks

This game keeps getting worse I subscribed to this app for many years. I’ve been a huge fan and have spread the word to countless people who were looking for a new game app. Now it just keeps getting less and less enjoyable while it also gets more and more expensive. I don’t know what the developers are thinking. My first issue was when I’d completed EVERY daily puzzle from the archives, as well as EVERY available moderate, hard and impossible puzzle. Then I started them again. The previously completed puzzles used to have “last played” info so I knew where to start. That’s been taken away so I sometimes start a game and then realize I completed it fairly recently. The subscription price skyrocketed to a ridiculous price. Why would I pay approximately half the monthly cost of a streaming service for a game? Then came changes to the ads for the daily puzzles. Before it wasn’t a big deal because they essentially timed out and returned to the game. Now you have to complete a couple of steps to get rid of most ads. Sometimes . Then there’s the price of the individual games. Most include only 10 puzzles now, which I can often complete in about 15- 25 minutes depending on level of difficulty.. There used to be large puzzle packs that were special sales; 150 or even 250 puzzles per pack, reasonably priced. No longer. Now I warn people about all of the flaws. Too bad because it used to be such a great game! I’ve only ever reviewed one app but this one felt necessary to me.

Virus ad This is a great game, very fun. Unfortunately though it has recently been take over by ads. Today I was playing and an ad popped up and opened Safari. The site said my phone was infected and I that to proceed it wanted me to click through the prompts…. I know better than that, but frankly I am disappointed. Is this the quality of ads this game has been reduced to displaying?! I removed this app and will not waste my time on it in the future.

Doesn’t Load The last week or two the status bar is showing “Providing Motivation” and locks onto that status and doesn’t move forward to allow access to the games. WHATS GOING ON???

Used to be fun This game is great…until they started putting this stupid pop up ad that shows up in the middle of a game! It’s a lame ad that is on half the screen and has no exit button! I literally have no choice but to click on the ad to exit. It is beyond annoying and probably enough so to have me delete the game! Too bad
