I feel like I was there :)
Amazing short experience. If you're a history buff, you will enjoy this
This is by far the most poignant and immersive real experience you'll ever have. It offers a unique perspective on the harrowing realities of World War II, and how that was a daily experience for some of us- spine chilling. Every collaborator and artist helped craft this journey back in time deserves a standing ovation. Thank you!
It isn't the prettiest looking thing in the world when it comes to VR games, but the faithful recreation is impressive and the overall design of the experience is pleasing. It's a great way to experience what it was like for bomber crews in the mid to late war and its presented for free. I'm glad such experiences have been made to preserve our history in topical and exciting ways.
Simply amazing. The best experience I've had while just sitting there. Make an effort to look around by ducking around and looking over their shoulders. What an amazing experience. Great job devs.
Yeah its a game
I recommend
15 minutes long. An early, relatively tame, historical educational VR experience. The plane, clothes, lighting is very immersive though. During the experience you get to hear the radio teleplay recording used as the basis for the experience, recorded during the actual mission in 1943. It is incredible that the plane could even take off at the time with the weight of the crew and this reporters' massive cojones. I think the gravity of the experience is not really felt until the closing text. This is really unfortunate, because If the surreal chilling description of events from the recording, told as they unfold, don't hit with you, then the context provided in the closing text for the sacrifice and history of the "F for Freddy" plane, it's crew, and the RAF forces in general during WW2 likely will. This is another really good write up about the ultimate fate of the "F for Freddy" that I recommend as well: https://aerialcombat.co.uk/aviation/remembering-berchtesgaden-lancaster-f-for-freddy/
