Story

“The 1am Operator”

“If you call 001 at 1am, you will be connected to the 1am operator, who will connect you to the past.”

Asahi tries out this urban legend in the hope of fulfilling a certain wish. Thinking it was just a made-up story, he is surprised to find that it really does work. The woman who answers the phone, calling herself the operator, tells him that she can connect him to calls that for some reason or other have not been delivered. Asahi calls the phone, hoping to fulfill his own wish. However, the people he calls have various regrets...

A story about making phone calls and connecting people

You can dial numbers just like on a real smartphone. The operator at 1am can only make calls to numbers between 001 and 099. Try calling anywhere first. Someone may be able to tell you the number you should call. There is sure to be someone's regret waiting for you at the end of the line.
