007 First Light is THE amusing linear action game that you must play this year if you are even a little bit interested in a great modern James Bond game. It's an enjoyable romp all the way through with great action, breathtaking set-pieces and amusing banter. It's also a modern take on a James Bond origin story, which is quite cool. I should note: 007 First Light isn't what I'd call particularly innovative when you glance at its discrete gameplay components. It probably lands somewhere between an Uncharted game and IO's previous Hitman games in terms of what it's like, but those are excellent games, so it's definitely not a knock against the game. (Although if you were expecting something totally fresh and new in terms of gameplay, you won't find it here. It's the same stealth, brawling and shooting you've probably seen in other games before. I liked it, but I understand why some people had hoped the game would do something different.) After you complete the cinematic story, there's still more for you to do: there's an extra component which lets you play special missions and you can always replay the missions which have a variety of challenges and collectibles for you to pursue. The bottom line? Do you like fun? If you do, get this game. IO knocked it out of the park. Personally, I can't wait what happens next with this version of Bond.

Fantastic story and classic witty Bond dialog. Gameplay mechanics weren't terribly difficult to handle and were enjoyable. Lots of flexibility between playing stealthily and guns blazing. Gorgeous environment design for both indoor and outdoor settings. Great voice actors. Would highly recommend.
