Zombie Pirates

Dull, simple, generic, tower defense game. Feels a bit like a port from a phone game. Overall I didn't enjoy it. We spent 8 hours together which is pretty early for me to give up on a game. Not the absolute worst I ever played.

I got this game rather cheap and think its kinda fun. I don't know that its worth a 14.99 pricetag though.

Well basically Zombie Pirates is one big mini game where waves and and waves of zombie ships come from right side of the screen to attack you and you have to defend yourself using various items like powder kegs, parrots and other ships. Game is quite fun in small doses (like 10 min ) since it's very repetitive and can get boring really soon.

Cant really get into the game, its rather chaotic (shallow micro management). The obvious gameplay comparison to this title is plants vs zombies, which is a good thing. It is not a bad game, but not a good one either. Thumbs down cause of its high price for a flash game and shallow micro management. Which is a shame cause its idea of controlling ships is great. It lacks good and intuitive rts functions and auto formations etc.

Avoid like the plague, good thing I got it for free :D

Fully voice acted and flash game comic style aesthetic. A handful of of ship types and a few special powers (bombs) to toss around. Game is laneless due to it being water-based, the cannonballs behave strangely with them honing on targets like heat seeker missiles more than actual cannonballs.. Setting and exposition and seems to just take the general setting of monkey island with a blonde haired pirate going against zombie pirate. Then again it could be a pirates of the carribean rip off too whom I vaguely blame for stealing monkey island's lore. All in all this would border on acceptable on a tablet, as you slowly grind more content out but as a sit down PC entertainment experience it is very lackluster and does not have the addictive nature of pop cap's legendary plants vs zombies. It is an easy recipe to screw up as you need a very solid hook right away, preferably in the form of audio or visuals or inventive tower types to capture your audience. This just follows a formulaeic outline and sends your brainwaves into tuned out boredom in short order.
