Zen Match - Relaxing Puzzle

It is relaxing but…. Just not the vibe. When I first started playing it was super simplistic. I didn’t have to open the app every day or “battle” people. It was *zen*. Well I just opened it for the first time (in probably 2 months, I won’t lie) and I spent more time hitting “X” on pop ups from the game than I spent on the levels I played themselves! This game has extremely degraded since I originally installed. I will be uninstalling.

Not the Cozy Game It Used to Be I originally picked this game because it was a fun, relaxing matching game. I loved earning lotuses to decorate the rooms because it made progression feel rewarding instead of endless. Completing the rooms gave me a feeling of accomplishment and it was the perfect game to unwind with. Recently, the devs changed the style of the game. The matching mechanics are still there, but the relaxing aspect is gone. Instead of working towards decorating rooms, the game now focuses on collecting potions and exploring what feels like an infinite island. What made this game special was the balance of simple gameplay and satisfying progression. Now it feels much more overwhelming and directionless. I miss the cozy, completion-focused experience the game originally offered.

Dislike the Changes Honestly this update sucks. I was originally drawn to the game for the aspect they took out. I look led forward to completing the puzzles and designing the room. This game reminds me of candy crush now

Changes deterred me So I’ve played this game for years, and it’s been so calming. It was simple, you match 2 pieces and do that for the whole mountain of pieces, then afterwards you get money to decorate rooms. Simple, and calming. But since the update and the the format and look changing, I reluctantly deleted the app. It went from that familiar simple and calming, to overstimulating and weird. Instead of matching 2, you now have to match 3 and there’s a bar at the bottom to keep it there. I wish there was a way I can undo the update and just keep the older version. Such a disappointment :(

Frustrating The changes took a lot to get used. Not gonna say I hated it but definitely did love it either. Now all of the sudden I keep getting a connection error which you would think would be on my end but all my other games work just fine. Just frustrating

My opinion I liked the room decorating more then the journey and I didn’t like when it was switched as the game is called zen match and the room decorating matched the game better then the journey

AMAZING Ads are not bad! Love this game!

If you are going to change that much, just make a new game. I used to play this game for hours on end. The main reason i got it in the first place was for the fun room customization. It is where the personality of this game derived from. The match 3 has always been fun, but the rooms were the entire priority of doing well in matches. Now, you just destroy random objects and move through a boring map. It took away half of what made this game so unique and fun compared to other match 3 games. Why try and fix something that isn’t broken? In doing so, the game is ruined. This is such a major overhaul, this would’ve been more successful as its own game separate from Zen Match. Overall disappointing. Will be deleting the game.

Ads and I used to play this game a lot but they introduced ads recently so I don’t play as much as I used to. I understand devs need to make money but experience becomes lackluster.

Ads This used to be my favorite game ever and I would play it all the time but now that they added ads it’s just not the same. I am sad to see this, Zen Match.
