"You Are Sick" is a very badly made bit of garbageware... basically it's one of those games where the developer couldn't work out how to make an interesting game with interesting gameplay, so decided that the best way anyone could make a game is to make the controls crappy on purpose. This is in fact the worse take a game developer could have, and it plays out with the dismal performance of this Steam Direct failure. What do you do in the game? It's a basic parkour platformer tech demo kitbashed out of Unity (no surprises to see the Unity logo on junkware). You have a grapple swing and a couple of floating platforms, and of course the crappy gimmick where you're "motion sick" and thus can't control the game properly. Yeah, I know, this isn't actually what motion sickness is like. Developer couldn't even get that right, and that was the core design element. At least they didn't try to get paid for this. This comes across as something unambitious and "simple" in terms of implementation and technical quality and depth, more like a game dev tutorial or an experiment. It’s a classic case of a developer prioritizing the low effort needed to get a game listed on Steam over the actual delivery of a technically sound or compelling product. Whatever is needed to hammer out something "good" enough for Steam Direct self-publishing. Even though the game looks pretty bad (and decent visuals are a minimum requirement for any game), we can be fairly sure this is not an asset flip. This is because the game assets look so bad, no self respecting asset creator would publish them. That's a fail. There's also the old adage that those who lack the budget and talent to make their own game assets of any level of quality usually lack the budget and talent to do the rest of the job of game development properly, too. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. This is "free" enough (not every "free" game in the "free" section is truly free, there's usually some hidden price tag), at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good, and the cost of a game is more than just financial, your time is valuable too. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 130 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB shows this peaked at only 5 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Not on a bet. This might be "free", but I still feel like I got ripped off.

This game is basically an ad where you simulate Michael Keaton playing Batman as the mouse sensitivity is stiff AF. Luckily there is an option to change the sensitivity to something just bearable. This is a great game for people who like to get worked up over a silly little game or for those of you who like a frustrating challenge. It did its job of keeping me entertained for an hour or so, and I wasn't bored, just frustrated and annoyed.
