雨鸦 - You are my sanctuary

RPG Maker strikes again! "雨鸦 - You are my sanctuary" is one of hundreds of low effort retro-pixel RPG Maker asset/construction kit flips spamming the Steam catalog, made with the RPG Maker video game construction kit... in their own words, "Our easy to use tools are simple enough for a child." Like all RPG Maker "games", this is essentially a bunch of low quality/canned assets from RPG Maker coupled with a cringeworthy high school anime club fan fiction. Notably, the "developer" couldn't work out how to use RPG Maker to make a JRPG (the only thing it can do, and it's terrible at it). Instead, we have a garbage tier Chinese "slice of life" e-book with a little bit of even more garbage RPG Maker puzzle solving hammered in to try to make this look anything other than the high school anime club dropout fan-fiction that it really is. And wow, is it cringey... why do these e-book authors always write their e-books about their imaginary anime girlfriends? It's so cringe.. As with all RPG Maker games, the poor quality engine displays badly in fullscreen and doesn't have full HD support or any graphics tweaking options, making this unacceptable for any dedicated modern PC gamer. The point can be made that the intention of RPG Maker is to make demos and small games to pass around friends, and shouldn't be used for "professional" game development. Like most RPG Maker shovelware and asset flips, the game features extremely low quality copy + pasted 2D retro pixel art, looks awful, and has even worse gameplay. RPG Maker is an absolutely terrible construction kit, and never results in games of any reasonable quality or value to gamers. There's no English translation for the this, but that's okay. The language of bad products is universal. This game is fairly dated at 7 years old... and even back then it looked old and busted compared to contemporary, professionally made 3D games of the same period. It looked bad then, it looks worse now. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. There's no initial download price, but the developer was charging $1 USD for this. Price barriers, especially on low quality products, can be a direct cause of failure. It seems like a nice gesture for the game to have no up-front cost anymore, but it also tells us that the game wasn't good enough to succeed as a paid product. This is also a bit of a slap in the face to anyone who showed enough questionable judgement to pay money for this... nobody got refunded. In terms of public reception, this failed. There's over 130 million unique gamers visiting Steam every month. SteamDB showed the game peaked at [b]only 13 concurrent players[/b]... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Since free games don't contribute to your game collector badge and other profile stuff, is this a worthwhile addition to your Steam library? I think it's best to skip this download. While it won't necessarily cost you money, the time and hard drive space it requires could be better invested in one of the many higher-quality alternatives on Steam.

我真的觉得很一般。叙事很混乱，前中期根本不知所云，槽点最大的是[spoiler]男主后期浴室那个记忆碎片，本来想性侵雨套都买好了，但是这种想法又被自己压制下去，把套丢了，不知道加这段进去意何为，莫名其妙就小头控制大头，想凸显两个人间相互依靠产生亲情可以用别的事情来体现的好吧。[/spoiler] 解密部分很少也不出彩，全篇下来只觉得无聊，虽然是免费作品但还是给路人避个雷吧

总体上一般，美术挺用心这点从标题画面就能看出来，房间中的陈设做的比一般的RPG丰富很多，有一段把存档的道具撕了存档碎片爆一地的情节初见还是挺惊喜的，操作方面游戏中按下F12会退到标题页，不知道咋想的，引导稍有点差， 有时候得把场景中的物品挨个检查个遍才能推进剧情，剧情方面有些牵强了，剧情中妹妹因为母亲工作繁忙砸了母亲的钢琴、父亲作为教师居然因为赚钱不够抛弃家人出走，有种为了惨而惨的感觉

支持我打完的只是收集癖而已…… 某种意义上来说是能让人看出作者进步之大的作品呢（ 男主完全クズ，剧情也谜语，追逐战更是过多了吧！最后还不给存档！ 不过并不怎么恐怖就是了，好评（？
