I really like this game,this is probably one of the first games I've played where everyone is a bad person (Including JB) And honestly it makes me kinda rethink my life every time I relate to one of them, but I enjoy that about it!.｡✧･ﾟ:* ~♡

I LOVE this game!!! About 15 days into playing this game, I already bought the DLC (which is SO worth it!!). This game has changed my brain chemistry a lot for the better (definitely). You grow to love the jerks the longer you play (and when you replay the game, obviously) and all the side characters are also so loveable! The cast is diverse and I love this game for it. If I could wipe my memory, I would, JUST so I can replay this game for the first time again <3

I bought the full version of this game after playing Our Life (several times), just because I wanted to support GB and their future projects. Based on the reviews, I didn't really plan on playing it. I'm glad I decided to go for it, though! It's a very different game from Our Life, but it's clear that a lot of the same charm and heart went into it. Negatives first. XOXO is a looonnng game (13 hours for my first completed route), and the elements that take up most of that time don't really feel useful. If you like management sims and school-life VNs, you might enjoy the daily grind of picking who you want to sit with for lunch on Mondays and how you will respond to the various cliques throughout the week. That said, unless you're aiming to date one of the clique boyfriends, your reputation has basically zero impact on gameplay. It's tedious to keep track of and just feels like a way to slow your progression with any one love interest, since you can't focus on one person without considering how hanging out with them at lunch or at work on the weekends will impact your reputation. There are lots of ways to influence your reputation, but none of it really feels worthwhile because the mechanic itself is hollow. Other than that, though, my only complaint is that certain features aren't very intuitive, and the tutorial is too long / not organized well enough to be useful. Now for what I liked! I'm happy to report that the reviews describing the MC of this game as insufferable are exaggerating. I like her a lot! She does, however, have a STRONG personality that you will not have the opportunity to influence at all. When you play this game, you are playing as a boy-crazy, seemingly shallow, slightly narcissistic teenage girl who sometimes gets a kick out of making fun of people. Luckily, most of the people she makes fun of in this game are the guys in her afterschool group, and they're all well-known a**holes who tend to be mean to her (or each other) first. What I love about this MC is that, even though she owns her reputation for being a jerk, she's also persistently positive and upbeat. She doesn't really want anyone else to suffer; she's just doing what seems the most fun to her at the time. And the guys all understand that about her, just like she understands that each of them has positive traits tied up with their abrasively quirky personality flaws. She doesn't mind if Bae talks down to her, if Shiloh lies, if Jeremy mopes, or if Pran makes everything difficult. She makes her own fun, and everyone else finds themselves being dragged along at her pace. It's kind of a complicated dynamic, and the fact that GB was able to create compelling chemistry between MC and each of the guys--who are all very different from each other--is impressive. Moreover, the dynamics between the guys themselves are also a lot of fun! I was just as excited as the MC every time a group meeting came up, because the dialogue was always fun and charming, and a few of the guys showed a lot of personal growth over the course of the game. The dates and other periodic events are equally compelling and mostly well written. The occasional chibi art is very cute, too, though I would have liked more detailed CGs for the romance route endings. With all that said, I would obviously only recommend this game to someone who is interested in the core concept. If you're looking for a game like Our Life, this is not it. There is very little character customization here, and there are very few places for you to really influence the course of the story. But if you don't mind some tedious time management and think you might enjoy playing as a jerk-y girl in a group of equally jerk-y guys, this game is a lot of fun! Don't let the whiny reviews stop you from giving it a try.

Why is the tutorial SO LONG and so hard to even find? Literally just finished reading the tutorial (without the last part which may contain spoilers apparently) and forgot nearly everything from the infodump except "you get x amount of options for free BUT if you buy the DLC you get more :)" Edit: ok even though the tutorial took me literally 57 minutes to read and re-read and try to comprehend, its actually kinda good. yes i did also buy the dlc because it was less than 7$

So get out there, live life, study hard, and find yourself a man ! A different dating sim that the ones I've played previously, as this one is very, very, very narrative heavy. The choices you make can change the way others feel about you, but not in a measurable way. Granted the game is supposed to simulate 2 years at the school, but after less than 2 months I felt like going back to public school would be better.

재밌게 잘 플레이했어요. 비추천은 아니고 복합적인 평가를 내리고 싶어요. -등장인물이 대체로 무례하고 비속어를 많이 쓰는데 또 선은 넘진 않고.. 입체적이라 신선하고 흥미로움 여주의 묘하게 toxic하고 manipulative한 성격이 별로였음.. -our life만큼 마음따듯해지는 얘기도 아니고 진지한 대화가 되지도 않고 졸업때까지 얘네가 친해지긴한건지 연애는 왜 하는건지 의문투성이지만 오히려 현실적인것도같음.. 스토리 자체는 재밌다. -reputation 관리하는게 번거로음. 대부분의 플레이가 평판작으로 이루어지는데 특별한 상호작용도 없고 열심히 관리할 동기부여도 안 됨. -dlc는 특정공략캐 노리는거 아니면 솔직히 굳이 안사도 될듯....
