X-Mode was almost completely solo developed by xzippyachx, a solo indie developer making video games as a hobby since 2015. X-Mode started development in early 2020 and is their first game released on Steam. X-Mode's development process was also documented on YouTube.

Bardzo dobra gra z mnóstwem różnych map i trybów rozgrywki. Gorąco polecam do gry ze znajomymi. Grałem w wersję testową jakiś czas temu i była fajna, choć wymagała pewnych ulepszeń. Ale wow – teraz wszystko jest super! Zagrałem kilka gier z Zachem (twórcą) i kilkoma innymi osobami i naprawdę świetnie się bawiłem. Nie ma zbyt wielu map ani broni, ale to jedna z tych gier, w których to naprawdę dodaje frajdy. Śledzę rozwój gry od kilku lat i Zach naprawdę dba o społeczność i słucha sugestii. 11/10 – gorąco polecam! Moje odczucia są... mieszane. Po pierwsze, dobre - gra jest BARDZO fajna - broń jest w większości zbalansowana - projekt poziomów jest okropny w zabawny sposób - boty rekompensują brak graczy Teraz złe - karabin snajperski trafia tylko raz w głowę, pomimo że i tak już trwa wieczność, a opóźnienia serwera sprawiają, że strzały trafiają niespójnie, powinno trafić się raz w klatkę piersiową i wyżej - boty są skalowane zdecydowanie za wysoko jak na to, czym są, to boty, a nie partnerzy treningowi - przydałaby się nowa broń, np. granatnik - optymalizacja gry nie istnieje, gram na 4090, a mapa doliny obniża liczbę klatek na sekundę do 100, co w grze tej jakości jest niespotykane. Mam nadzieję, że twórcy to dostrzegą
