I like the premise of this game, but it falls short in too many areas for me to be able to recommend it. Firstly, the tutorial is bugged - I get a "command locked" error when told to try "man cd" in the CLI. This was not there before as I recently returned to the game and decided to go with a fresh start (which also has a bug, since you cannot choose the same avatar as you had before if you want to start a new game!) Secondly, for what is essentially a text based game, it seems to use a huge amount of resources. It's not the greatest gaming experience when your fan is running on high the entire time and all you're doing is typing commands into a terminal. Finally, the actual pedagogical aspect of the game is lacking in both its explanation and depth - there are much better resources to be found online for free. It also seems that the game wants to push their online training platform, and there is a part of me wondering if this game is simply a glorified advert for that product Nice idea, poor execution
I'm a big fan of this game. I'm only a few hours in but I picked it up because I'm just starting to learn admin and it's already been very helpful. Perfect for newbs or people like me who haven't touched command line since the 90s. Story is enjoyable or you can skip it and just do the missions (good if you're a bit more advanced). I love the story and think they did a great job building lessons into it. Enjoyable for students or anyone just looking to learn. Ignore the programmer egos in the comments.

Awesome way to gain hands on experience in cyber security field!
Good to start learning linux commands. Enjoyable game, pity is missing some CO-OP missions, I hope the developers are working on it. Otherwise, it is worth every penny.
Makes learning skills fun and engaging. Making errors in a game doesn't blow, like making a mistake on an academic exam. Instead, it allows you to actual learn from your mistake and build fluency.
January 2024 Edit: Do not purchase: game is being discontinued and is very much not worth the price tag. it hardly has any content for the price. great introduction to some fundamentals in cybersecurity. unfortunately the game seems massively incomplete, so its not really worth the full price right now. wait for it to go on sale.
Beautiful Concept to educate people on cybersecurity!
I wish this felt more of like a open ended lab with better Linux commands. I recommend for beginners and I hope they make the soundtrack easy to access because I love doing other lab ethical hacking stuff to the menu song. What I learned in my classes at the college I learned also in this game!
