The combat is easily the highlight here. Unfortunately the game goes through long stretches where there is either no combat or it is minimal. I want to play and enjoy the game but these sections feel like such a frustrating waste of time. I understand why some of these sections exist I just wish they were either better polished and more engaging or if they at least shortened these parts up. One example is when you have to take a submersible through some waterway. Goes on for too long and not near as fun or engaging as the parts where you just shoot enemies. These sections should have at least been partially replaced with more creative combat scenarios. Vary enemy spawn points, enemy synergies, map designs and layouts etc. The story isnt bad at all, its decent. BJ is an awesome character in this. All the other things the game does well enough dont match up to highlight of the game which is the FPS combat. Very good game that could easily be better if they stopped putting so much filler and really let the combat shine. 8/10
