WHAT'S INSIDE THIS RELEASE

You're getting two builds: patched (Enhanced) and retail (Original) for those of you who prefer an unaltered experience as a bonus. Both builds are running on DOSBox with a custom configuration tool. The Enhanced build features fixes introduced in EGwhaven, a must-have community project, which addresses an array of bugs and issues with the game (we'd like to thank ETTiNGRiNDER for the contribution to this release). Additionally, the controls are re-mapped to what you'd expect to see as a default in a first-person game nowadays.

Pretty much as I remembered it, even thought the graphics were awful way back when it came out. But, that gives it a comforting nostalgia I think. It's not an easy game, thanks muchly to the controls but the modern enhanced version with patches have largely fixed that. Honestly though, I only bought it because of THAT banger of a music track that everyone who knows this game will know about. Pity that this release doesn't have it separately as a .wav file like the old CD. I can only seem to find it now as part of the whole soundtrack, not by itself. They really do need to do a remake of this old classic.

I dared to enter Witchaven,and im glad i did. It isnt the best of its genre at first sight. But man this says nothing. It has a nice Soundtrack,good Weaponry,fantastic Level Design and an amazing Sword and Sorcery vibe. Slay Hordes of Enemies with Weapons as well as Sorcery,as a Warrior with a brutal Horned Helmet designed by Ken Kelly. What do you want more? It can be buggy at times,i recommend atleast 2 Savefiles.Have one ready of a levels beginning. But some bugs (And this is fantastic) you can outwork with Spells you have. Like the always useful Open Door Spell. Partly i like this way more than Hexen somehow. Theres a magical thing going on between the different things that come into play in this game,when you walk the hallways with the fantastic music in the background.
