Wishy Washy is a charming indie game that manages to capture the essence of simplicity and fun, making it a delightful gaming experience. Developed, as it seems, as a school project and uploaded to Steam, this little gem proves that even the most straightforward concepts can provide hours of enjoyment. One of the game's strongest points is its lighthearted humor. Washy's cute animations and amusing facial expressions never fail to bring a smile to your face. The developers have done an excellent job infusing the game with a sense of whimsy and joy, making it a perfect antidote to a stressful day.

Nice enough for a freebie, just not my thing.
I remember a game about cleaning cars, but it's the first I play a game about washing windows. The idea is neat, but I feel bored with the game after a few minutes of playing. At least the game is free to play, so please check it out by yourself and don't waste your time reading reviews.
I enjoyed the gameplay and the concept. It's a good alpha demo, but there's not enough substance to be a good game. The credits rolled in ten minutes and I didn't feel like I had learnt or achieved anything.
it's fun to play but to be honest i knew it's a pixel art game but the quality of their opening logos caught me off guard!
"Wishy Washy" is at best described as a cleaning simulator, and hey, they can work great even as amateur projects, check out Viscera Cleanup Detail and Power Wash Simulator as examples of amateur projects that have done quite well in the cleaning genre. Then there's this garbage, which is just a 2D retro pixel Adobe Flash game. I mean, it's made with Unity, but the quality is slightly worse than your average Adobe Flash game from the 1990s, and that's a huge problem. No wonder this was a dismal failure. What do you do in the game? It's just a pointless 2D "arcade" game where you clean 2D retro pixel windows. They should make a game about cleaning crap off Steam, that would work better. This features really godawful pixelcrap "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks much worse than most other games because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers. Games like Terraria and Stardew Valley succeeded despite the bad graphics, not because of them. This game is fairly dated at 5 years old... it's showing a bit of age and won't give you a very up-to-date gaming experience. This is "free" enough, at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 3 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off. Edit: Wow, this was a student project. I hope the students got their money back... imagine paying for a game dev course in 2020 and the "instructors" teaching you that 3D games don't exist and all gamers want is 2D retro pixelcrap. And they published this on Steam as "portfolio"... if I was a professional game dev studio manager and a prospective employee showed me pixelcrap in an attempt to get me to hire them, I wouldn't just kick them out, I'd take out a restraining order.
tough but fair, very much the dark souls of window-washing simulators This friendly art style and tone disguise how frantic this game gets, especially when the light starts fading and you're not sure how many floors are left. Once you get better you lock into a rhythm that's really satisfying, like the best small speed-precision games. The upgrades are helpful and add a nice sense of variety and progression, but honing your ability is still the core. I enjoyed it, fun game and it's free
