Wind Up is a multiplayer game focusing on social deduction, cooperation, and betrayal. In a complex haunted castle, the clockwork dolls outsmart imposters hiding among them. Who can escape the castle? Who will be banished? Who will be killed by imposters when night falls...
Note: Dead PvP game This game contains no meaningful single player content. There's no viably populated servers/active player population. This game cannot be played as intended.
This was an interesting, if unappealing concept. The core game loop is a ripoff of Among Us, a social deduction/Werewolf/Mafia clone combined with some busywork minigame activities, but instead of spacemen and an alien, you're a bunch of clockwork dungeon crawlers(????). I don't know anyone who desperately wanted to play a contentless PvP game but with clockwork thingies. Maybe a focus group beyond the drunks at the bar would be a good idea before committing quite a bit of effort in making a game nobody wants (and credit where it's due, at least the technical implementation here isn't garbage, rather rare in the "free" section of Steam). So, "Wind Up" is a dead PvP game. Why did it fail? It's video game autopsy time! Almost every PvP exclusive game on Steam fails. Only a tiny proportion of them "go viral". This game failed for many of the same reasons those others fail. The chief of which is the developer thinking that their game will "go viral" without actually creating any reason for it do so. Competition amongst PvP centric games is extreme, and there's only a finite player base to appeal to. This game failed to reach any kind of critical mass and died as a result. Let's go into some of the reasons this particular game failed to appeal to gamers, despite the zero up front cost. First and foremost, there's no meaningful single player content. The developer gambled that other players would be an acceptable substitute for adding storytelling, level design etc to the Game. They lost that bet. Without a huge community of players or single player content to add a lasting value to the game, the game dies. Developers must learn that other players are not an acceptable substitute for adding content to a game. The developers abandoned this 2 years and 8 months ago. It will never be completed. This unfinished game is just polluting Steam and making it harder for gamers to find genuinely, completely made games. The graphics in this game are really quite good, which at least makes the game look more appealing. And while it's vital for any game to have impressive visuals (gaming is a visual medium, after all), there's more to a game than just the graphics. To be worth a gamers time, the game must match top tier visuals with top tier gameplay, and that's not happening here. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. So this is "free", but it's abandoned. Worse, it was never intended to be free. The developer intended to charge for this if it ever left Early Access... but the developer just couldn't be bothered. Making this abandoned pollution that gamers need to filter through when searching for products made by more ethical developers who fulfill their promise to deliver on their Early Access commitment instead of breaking that promise. In terms of public reception, this failed to appeal to the 130 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at just a dozen or so concurrent players, and now there's basically nobody playing it. Even though it's free. This is a dismal public reception, but it's easy to see why gamers rejected it. All other issues aside (any of which would disqualify this from being worth your time), this is a game that relies on other players for it to be viable, and because there's not enough players, it's not viable. I can't recommend anyone downloads this, it's basically dead.

Before I played Wind Up, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
鬼的移動速度有點快,可能要慢一點。 道具欄只能裝5個道具,烹飪的道具會變得不夠帶。 ai機器人可以搬棋子開門,玩家卻還要放下棋子才能開門。
