Out of all of the civilization games I have played, this has been the game to keep me entertained the most! Whiskerwood is a fantastic game in which you build your colony under the oppressive rule of the Claws, expanding your civilization with both population and technology. As the game progresses, certain choices in who you recruit and what they do becomes imperative to maximizing the functionality of your colony. (A great hint: pollution will become a thing, and whiskers who have the trait, "Can't Smell" are beneficial in helping to reduce the complaints you receive) So far I have yet to find something to complain about. The game is very well built, and offers a great challenge to your management skills as your colony grows. The only suggestions I can give to the dev team at this time are purely cosmetic. One recommendation would be to allow path decorations (particularly walls) to staircases. The left and right angle staircases in particular to maximize a more slim build. I highly recommend this game if you enjoy city building or settler building simulations!
This game is a lot of fun! It's got a few glitches with the newest update (ships/naval at the time of writing) but it's early access you have to expect that still. The music is similar to some of my favorite old colony games like Sid Meyer's Colonization, the mining and underground building reminds me Timberborn, the building and resource gathering takes a minute to get used to but then makes constructing cities that build up into the sky or down into the ground pretty intuitive to make.
I can't stop playing this game, just like in the gold old golden era of games, whem the gameplay was paramount and graphics were secondary. I love the mechanics of the game. Mice could be nicer, visually, but is still very fun to play.
Miodzio! Jerry lubił ser i nawet Tom to wiedział. Jakieś chociaż tofu na pocieszenie... PS. 1. Mapa generuje czasem jako wyspę małą, piaszczystą łachę, aż chciało by się zaśpiewać PLAAAAŻAAAA FOOOOKKKKK (Lombard). Ale nie. Nawet kraba tam nie uświadczysz. PS. 2. I tak jesteście super!
Well polished for early access, not noticed any bugs or significant issues in my playtime so far. Very cute and quite deep city builder. In other city builders I've often found that you quite quickly fill out the little map that you have and just stagnate. This game solves that issue well in my opinion. There is a large map that takes time to expand into and what feels like an actual world going on outside that you get to interact with. I also quite like being able to tunnel and build underground and the 3D terrain in general.
I want my mice to survive.

I've been looking for a city build to get hooked on for years now, and I'm glad I stumbled upon Whiskerwood. The game is really good, even in early access. The progress and maintenance is fun, nothing is too grindy. There's definitely room for improvement, for example, prioritizing constructions doesn't do anything, they kinda just construct all over the place, maybe an option to focus on one construction or multiple would be good. I'm also missing a way to get rid of Whiskers I don't need; Right now I kinda just grab them and throw them onto an empty island, wait for them to starve to death, but that's kind of a hassle, and definitely inhuman, or, inanimal, I guess. All in all, I cannot recommend the game enough.
