With the sailing mechanics finally added, this game is perfect. A cute city-builder. Adorable squeaking NPC mice. All of the conveyors and sorting you could ever want. And now the ability to tell the Claws to suck it
My mice are happy, I'm happy, everyone's happy
The most engaging and well executed builder city i played in a very long time. UI is top notch and the game, while full of different mechanics and possibilities, has a gameplay so intuitive. It's cute, and smart and gives you a every tools you need to build your city the way you want. The settings with the cats being ruthless emporors / rulers of the world and using mices as workforce is funny but also encapsulate something deeper (at least for me). The sailing update brings an overhaul huge map and lots of new ways of making your way throughout the game. I'm pretty early in the game, but no bug or lag issue and runs pretty smoothly It's a little gem, i think.
Fantastic city builder - feels like a cross between a good Anno game and Timberborn. If you like the genre, I can strongly recommend. The game is in a quite well-polished state, considering it's still early axis.
Excellent base building game
Best city builder to date.
LOVE this game. Just happened to see it in my recommendations and I'm so so glad I did. It's, like, everything I want if I'm reaching for a new citybuilder instead of one of my tried and true favorites-- although this one will now be a tried and true favorite. Super charming art style, incredibly addicting gameplay loop, really cute little plot setup. I personally really appreciate the fairly granular difficulty customization-- because frankly, as much as I have always loved citybuilders, I'm not great at them, so I can specifically tweak the aspects I know I struggle with while leaving other things alone. The only genuine problem I've had is honestly probably more related to my ailing graphics card than the game itself; I've had very occasional (and seemingly random) crashes, but other than that the game performs really well. Really looking forward to what's coming next!
I'm not usually one for playing resource management games, but Whiskerwood has been a great experience so far. At this point of its' early access development, Whiskerwood already feels full of interesting bits to dig your teeth into. Moreover, the game's mechanics are well-considered, thoughtfully implemented, and incentivize you to continue building up your adorable little colony. [strike]And maybe form emotional attachments to some very hardworking, pitifully cute mice.[/strike]
