Very good, addictive. burned me a lot of brain cells.
The more I play this game... The more addicted I get to it
Wonderful survival city builder visually akin to Timberborn that has the player navigate a new colony from imperial tributary to hopefully one day independent (still early access at time of writing). Recent naval update has opened up new possibilities for exploration, combat, and trade and added an Anno spin to the game. Devs are actively updating the game and I'm very excited to see where things go from here! Goodbye for now, my mice are calling.
Great game and every update brings new interesting features. Devs seem to be listening players, which is always a good thing. Expecting this game to be great in future as well.
This is the best new city builder/logistics management game that's came to early access in a while! So much depth, it takes a while to build up and reach the higher tiers of the game as well as expanding your map and exploring the wider sea region. I'm on my 3rd city restart and each time I've enjoyed building up and implementing new strategies and designs. Beyond gameplay, it's so refreshing to see an early access game developer that listens to players and provides near weekly updates to address feedback and requested features. Look at any of the recent updates and you'll find good communication and response to player reported issues. They thank players who report issues and encourage feedback and discussion in discord to improve the game. I've played so many other early access games the last 2 years that go months without any update or progress towards completing the game. Can't wait to see how good Whiskerwood will be when it actually decides to release 1.0. As one more big plus for me - it supports the workshop and new mods have popped up to support smaller features and requests in the community. Hoping that as the game becomes popular the workshop takes off and adds entirely new gameplay similar to Rimworld and other heavy workshop games.
Came home from work, ready to relax. Instead, I paid taxes. Then I played this game about paying taxes. Started getting some momentum going, feeling pretty good about myself. Then winter hit. It was brutal. Mice started dying and somehow landing in places I didn’t even know mice could land. So I started over. 10/10. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a game that provides the authentic experience of working all day just to come home and suffer for fun. Great game. Terrible for my mental health. Would play again.
