Spinning the Wheel of Intrigue: Unveiling Mysteries in "Wheel of Innocence" Rating: ★★★★☆ (4/5) "Wheel of Innocence" emerges as a captivating and immersive experience that invites players to unravel mysteries and test their deduction skills. With its engrossing storyline, challenging puzzles, and a unique gameplay mechanic centered around a spinning wheel, the game manages to stand out in the crowded genre of mystery-solving adventures. While a few minor hiccups hinder its full potential, the game succeeds in delivering an engaging and suspenseful journey. Visually, "Wheel of Innocence" is a blend of atmospheric environments and character designs that effectively set the tone for its mystery-laden narrative. The attention to detail in the environments, whether it's a dimly lit crime scene or a lavish mansion, enhances the sense of immersion. The game's visual style complements its storytelling, creating an environment that feels rich with secrets waiting to be uncovered. Gameplay revolves around the central mechanic of the "Wheel of Innocence," a unique tool that players use to connect clues, draw conclusions, and advance the investigation. The spinning wheel mechanic adds an element of interactivity and strategy, encouraging players to think critically and make informed choices. This twist on traditional puzzle-solving enhances the game's engagement factor and offers a fresh experience. The storytelling is a highlight of "Wheel of Innocence." The game successfully captures the intrigue and tension of a gripping mystery, as players delve into a complex web of secrets, motives, and hidden agendas. The characters are well-developed, each with their own motives and personalities that add depth to the narrative. The balance between puzzle-solving and story progression keeps players invested in the outcome. However, "Wheel of Innocence" is not without its flaws. While the spinning wheel mechanic adds a layer of complexity, it might also lead to moments of frustration as players try to decipher the correct connections. Some players might find themselves stuck at certain points, particularly if the logic required to solve a particular puzzle isn't immediately apparent. In conclusion, "Wheel of Innocence" delivers an engaging and immersive mystery-solving experience that stands out thanks to its unique "Wheel of Innocence" mechanic and compelling storytelling. Its atmospheric visuals and intricate narrative draw players into a world of intrigue and suspense. While a few challenging puzzles might pose hurdles for some players, the overall journey is both rewarding and thought-provoking. If you're a fan of captivating mysteries and enjoy puzzle-solving with a twist, "Wheel of Innocence" offers a memorable adventure filled with twists, turns, and revelations.

Cute
Really sweet and very clearly coming from a personal place that the author has experience with but god. This script (I can't Tell if it's a translation issue or just the general script) is bad. The actual sequence of events and the things that go on in the story I actually like a lot but there's absolutely no effort into making it all interesting to read; no attempt at engaging prose or natural dialogue. It's just all so robotic and unpolished, lacking personality or even basic grammar as this VN often forgets what a comma is. Really unfortunate cause this premise could've been used to make something truly special but there's just something inherently first draft to the way this thing is written, which makes enough sense cause this was a 2 month game jam title but even then I've read stuff developed in similarly tight schedules that accomplishes a lot more. Still though I liked it, enjoyed the characters and the romance was cute and I appreciated it's clash with more serious topics like suicidal thoughts and guilt but more than anything I'm left hoping this gets a remake in the future.
This was pretty okay if this is the developer's first attempt at a game, but there are some flaws that hampered my enjoyment and make me give an overall negative score. The sprites have blocky/pixelated outlines and the art style between some of them does not match, making it odd when they are side by side on the screen. The writing has grammatical errors, missing punctuation, using the wrong words or missing words in the middle of sentences, etc - should have had significant proofreading. There are also oddities in the language that may be explained by translation issues/possibly ESL? (not sure if the original language was English). Furthermore, the story and plot itself had some points that really made me raise my eyebrow. I also felt that significant areas of the story were skipped over/rushed/poorly explained, and there were long sequences of text that did not offer anything to the story (like the sequence from the book that they were reading together.) However, all of these things are fixable, and if so it would be a pretty solid story that I would be able to recommend. As it stands, though, I would not recommend it.
honestly was a drag to get through. boring characters with an unnecessary dark "twist". i regret playing this.

This is a very short, very cute game that addresses some heavy topics moderately well. While some of the topics could have been handled with more grace in a longer format, I think the extremely quick pace and linear storytelling lends itself well to this story. If this game cost money or had a wider scope, I would probably expect more out of it. However, for a game that took me 1 hour to 100%, I think that the quality is more than high enough for me to recommend it to others. Give it a shot!
