If you don't like Ubisoft games, then trust me, I know why. But trust me: This one is *different*. It's fun, it's wild, it's got randomness and it feels alive. Honestly, it's probably the most 'alive' feeling open world game that came out before Red Dead Redemption 2. The aesthetic is just like the cast: nerdy, silly, charming, but it doesn't treat itself like a joke. It contrasts the dark cyber-noir vibe of Watch Dogs 1 that focused on a man being an anti-hero vigilante fighting the corruption of Chicago's corporations and organized crime in a world where technology violates the safety and privacy of normal people. Instead, this game focuses on a group of nerds coming together to fight the system that created this technology by causing chaos and exposing the city's corruption to make people fight back by giving them the truth. The aesthetic accompanies this with a brightly colored modern aesthetic with retro pixel art being a common sight. The story isn't perfect, but it shines when it focuses on the characters. They're an extremely likeable cast with characters people love. It has an important message and the *perfect* protagonist for the story and aesthetic (his username is literally retr0). Overall, if there's any Ubisoft game I can recommend to people, it's this one. People still play this game for a reason, and that's because it's damn good. Try it out. You won't regret it.
