Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine - Anniversary Edition

I remember playing this game shortly after release, and I was not impressed. Today, I replayed the campaign, and the game certainly captured the spirit of the Warhammer 40K very well - everything is grimdark, directive here, tactical imperative there, character in the terminator armor feels appropriately bulky and impactful, you will meet demons and orks, and everything is meticulously crafted according to the lore. The gameplay, however, is dated, repetitive and not very good. The constant camera shakes are the worst, your character gets stuck over everything - obstacles, enemies (even dying), melee combat is so-so (there is no defense), there is a rudimentary combo system, but that's about it. Plasma weapons are clunky, I used only lasgun (best sniper), the heaviest bolter and power axe for melee. The hammer is useful only in conjunction with jetpack. Overall, recommended for Warhammer 40k fans, for others it's all pretty meh.
