Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine - Anniversary Edition

My first Warhammer game. It's a good game with some bugs. I got stuck a fair amount of times and died. Combat can be a little frustrating so if you just want to play it before SM2 to get the story just set difficulty to easy but if you like torturing yourself crank it up i guess. It was fun and a little emotional. I saw that ending coming a long way :o

It was a bit clunky with crashes and the game sometimes locking up, but it was still so fun to play. Would still recommend buying, but be aware you might have some hick ups.

a solid 9,5/10, great gameplay mechanics, great ost and holds up well to this day. FOR THE EMPEROR!!!

couple of crashes through out my playthrough and the game systems and controls definitely show their age as well but its a fun game nonetheless

Still works great running on Windows 11, Ryzen 7 5800X3D, RTX 3090, 64GB of DDR4 3200 CL 16. You'll need to either use MSCONFIG to change the number of CPU Cores available to 8 total or, a far better option is to download and install the Windows ADK Compatibility Administrator. Only tick the first box of the installer, untick the rest. Once installed, open the 32-bit version of the Compatibility Administrator, then click on the "new database" under the Custom Databse tab and click menu for "Database > Create New > Application Fix". Next, you need to select the game application file either through "Browse" or by typing the full address in. For most people, that will be this: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine\SpaceMarine.exe" Click next, click next to skip Compatibility Mode stuff, and on the Compatibility Fixes menu scroll down to the "P" section. If you are running a Ryzen CPU, you need to tick "ProcessorCountLie". For an Intel CPU with Efficiency Cores, you need to tick "ProcessorCountLieForHybridCPU". With the correct one selected, click "Parameters" and put "8" in the command line, and click "Okay". You can go ahead and click "Test Run" to make sure it works and change to the other option if you got it wrong, then click "Next", and click "Finish. Now, click "Save" and Name the database, then save it to disk somewhere you'll find it.

I wanted to enjoy this game but with the claustrophobic FoV and a level of camera shake that felt closer to being inside of a running dryer tumbling down a hill during an earthquake than in a combat zone I fear my nausea cant push past a couple hours.

My controler didn't work for some reason, and one of the servo skulls was bugged. But it's an okay game.
