It's extremely fun game. I love the Doom like frantic tension thru out the game. I can't believe a game like this flew under my radar for older version. I bought Space Marine II as well. But playing this first. Great game!

good introduction to the warhammer 40k universe cause man am i hooked
It's Warhammer, it's awesome. What more needs to be said?
this game is great. of the many times i played it i have had many different experiences. i won't speak of online because i don't really have much time in it and haven't tried lately to see if it is still thriving. i am not huge on 40K so i can't really say a lot, but i do enjoy their action oriented games. the story of this game is that a planet with an invictus robot, a giant mech, is being attacked and you are ordered to protect the planet because that factory and mech are incredibly important. you fend off the orks as you protect your soldiers and sabotage them to get the upper hand while trying to get to the mech. half way through you meet an inquisitor who is trying to protect his secret research which can wipe out the orks on the planet. in doing so you cause a warp event and give the forces of chaos the chance to invade the planet and their leader to ascend using that object, which you go after alone since you are found out to have resistance to the warp, which isn't normal. gameplay is very heavy feeling, you feel a little sluggish, and enemies can feel like they take more shots than they really should. like it feels like enemies are a bit too spongy. but i guess it makes sense, in 40K everything is pretty hard to kill normally. it is an interesting mix of shooter and hack and slasher. you get a very nice variety of weapons split into 3 different weapon slots. which as you get further through the game most of them end up being your secondary weapon which cuts down on how much mix and match you can do to have fun using them all. everything feels like it has impact even while feeling like you don't do enough damage, but nothing is incredibly hard, outside of some encounters meant to push you. music is good, it has good power to it and helps you get into the moments when you get absorbed into it. the game still looks fantastic, even after all this time. everything is so grand and enormous, and so cool to see. i personally can go back and fourth of, 40K goes over the top, and it hits that sweet spot of BEING over the top. but overall, i had a lot of fun looking around this playthrough.
this game was my first intro to Warhammer 40k, and i loved every moment of it. great combat, fantastic characters, and the game looks super good almost like todays graphics , judging it came in 2011. i loved the story , gun play was fun and even the online multiplayer is enjoyable. 10/10 for me.
Even after 15 years, this game aged like wine. Great story, action packed gameplay, though controls are somewhat janky at times. A must play for warhammer enthusiasts. PS: F*ck you Leandros, Sidonus was 100 times trhe Ultramarine you could ever aspire to dream of.
Ah yes, the game that sucked me into the 40k rabbit hole. Peak gaming right here
