Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine - Anniversary Edition

Still holds up even after 15 years.

Came into this game expecting great things but was quite disappointed. To start off with it's strengths, the environments are absolutely peak, as are the characters. They provide enough of that massive scale and grimdark that 40k has without feeling overdone. Beyond that though, the controls feel clunky, the melee combat is button mashy, many of the enemy types just feel like they were designed to be annoying, the animations feel undercooked and repetitive, and I found myself getting stuck in the terrain and having to reload a checkpoint rather often.
