Warhammer 40,000: Gladius - Relics of War

It's a pretty old strategy, not bad

This is like playing a gigantic game of chess but with 40k pieces. I lose hours at a time whenever I open Gladius up. Somehow, being turn based makes the game so much more intellectual than an RTS like Dawn of War. You really think and plan out every single action by every unit to make sure you maximize your damage and destroy very specific enemy units. I love looking a few moves ahead on what I have to do. The computer players are also extremely intuitive and will always give you a run for your money, no matter the stage of the game. Once or twice a year Gladius base game goes up for free. Sometimes it has steep discounts, like 95%. Definitely get it either way. They make their money on the DLCs, which there are a load of. I have two computers. Gladius runs well on older hardware. Main computer: 9950x3d 9070xt 64gb ram 2gb ssd My laptop, which about half of my hours of Gladius have been on: i7-7700 1050ti 8gb ram old hdd
