Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II - Anniversary Edition (Classic)

nowhere near as fun as i remembered it.

This was a absolutely brilliant game till the update, and then they broke it !!!! now it does not work !!!

Ich hab schon 250 Stunden auf einem anderen Account (ohne Online, es gibt leider kaum noch Spieler), nicht wundern. Ich finde das Spiel bombastisch und noch Mal beeindruckender, wenn man auf das Erscheinungsdatum schaut. Die Grafik sieht aus wie bei heutigen 60-Euro-Titeln, das Spielprinzip ist sehr gut durchdacht und man hat immer Abwechslung, durchaus auch durch zufällig generierte Missionen, bei denen man nicht Mal ansatzweise merkt, dass sie nicht vorprogrammiert sind. Auch hier geht die Abwechslung nie verloren. Besonders angetan hat es mir jedoch eine Fähigkeit: das Orbitale Bombardement. Drei gewaltige Laserstrahlen aus dem Orbit mit einem ebenso vernichtenden wie gut aussehenden Effekt. Ich habe dieses Spiel das erste Mal gespielt, wo es schon dreizehn Jahre alt war, und kann nur empfehlen, euch die Anniversary Edition zu holen, wenn sie wieder für 8€ im Angebot ist - habe ich schon mehrfach gesehen. Die Rollenspiel-Elemente sind auch nicht zu verachten. Kleiner Tipp für Chaos Rising: das kanonische Ende ist das, wo Avitus etwas ganz bestimmtes tut und Diomedes überlebt, nicht das bestmögliche! (Kein Captain Haargel😢) For the Emprah!

This game is perfect for anyone who’s into real-time strategy with a lot of action, even if you don’t really know much about the Warhammer 40k lore. As you play, you start to understand what they’re fighting for and who they’re fighting for, no spoilers needed. Back in the day, this game really impressed me. I got so into it that I didn’t even take the time to properly write a review. And Retribution? Shame, that one’s also really good, carries on the experience nicely. For me, when it comes to strategy games, this one could easily take a bunch of awards. I became a fan of the whole franchise after playing it, ended up getting hooked on the story. For those who don’t know it yet, just go check it out, even if it’s just a quick wikipedia search. It’s not just another strategy game, it’s basically a work of art.

Один Цирус, чтобы править всеми. Лютая имба, что в базовой игре, что в Chaos Rising. После первой DoW, конечно, непривычно, что нету типичного для RTS строительства базы и менеджмента ресурсов, но игра все равно хороша.
