Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II - Anniversary Edition (Classic)

I honestly enjoyed it more than Dawn of War 1. I'm a fan of the franchise and a bit of a casual player, always playing games on normal or easy - not really wanting to challenge myself. As a 33-year old gamer with a full-time job, I like to enjoy games that have the option to play on 'easy' mode but not the sort of brain-dead easy, but rather being able to enjoy it at a reasonable pace. In short, I don't want a hard game and I honestly don't enjoy losing - but I also want to work (to some degree) for my victory. And Dawn of War 2 has made that possible, I was able to enjoy this game and the strategy layer of it without losing too much. I really enjoy how you can create and choose "builds" for your heroes - this creates a layer of strategy of which I can enjoy the game and have a 'mix' of things that I can call my own. I was able to play both the base game and Chaos Rising - now headed off to Retribution (2nd expansion). And I can honestly say that this is the best Dawn of War experience I have played. Definitely my cup of tea.

Great RTS, If you like Warhammer 40k, it's a no-brainer.

I'm not sure of how many hours I have spent on DOW Games in total but I can say they are worth it.

A worthy successor to the original Dawn of War, this one is more of a tactical approach to strategy similar to Company of Heroes. The story is good, the gameplay is great and overall this is a very good RTS definitely recommend.
