Wow, The Eldar really had it all right there literally in their grasp. The webway, the Necrons sleeping, the C'tan all gone, the Krorks devolving into orks without having any massive, War in Heaven level battles to fight, living to be over 1,000 years old without ever having to worry about getting sick, and humanity barely in it's infancy. They had all of that going for them, and still somehow they messed it all up. And in the worst possible way too. All they had to do was NOT throw Diddy Parties but they just couldn't resist. And for the Drukhari to double down on the Diddy Parties and baby oil even after giving birth to Slaanesh and having She Who Thirsts after their very souls... well that's truly telling of how much they love their Diddy Parties.
The best DoW. Period.
- “Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II - Chaos Rising”
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TvRp4SprJFk

В Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II - Anniversary Edition входит оригинальный DoW 2 и о оба дополнения - Chaos Rising и Retribution.
[olist]
[/olist]
States that it includes Retribution when it doesn't. Retribution is a separate install, this "anniversary edition" does literally nothing.
Be careful, this isn't what it says it is. It does not include Retribution in the sense it makes you think it does. You still have to install Retribution seperately and that one is not reworked at all. It's just the oild Retribution. It's fine and it works (Hopefully. For me it does.), but it's a bit erraneously written - and in my opinion purposefully so, cause it prominently says that it includes (!) Retribution in the rework - which it doesn't. Anyway, to themechanics: It works fine, but when you play the campaign coop with a friend, it crashes very often. And the rain looks ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awful. It is just that every milimeter of your screen has rain action on it, so much you often do not see your mouse cursor, which makes reacting to flanking and such especcially hard in rain. Which shouldn't be a thing, really. Everything else works, so I give it a thumbs up, but with a bad feeling to it! I wished they change the text to be less scammy and the rain filter.
it is pretty tight, The cover mechanics are a pain sometimes. But it is still a good game. I would recommend getting and trying the First one before this one. So what is everyones favorite type of Hot Dog. I like mustard and sourkraut with a nice Beef Dog. At least 2 of those bad boys. Chili and cheese is good too. I am not a big fan of bacon wrapped dogs. I like Bacon, But it is just too much for a dog.
Bought this game on sale for 7.99. Pros and Cons: - Combat is exciting and tactical, at first. It feels genuinely good to overcome some trials with limited squads. - But then you unlock the Dreadnaught, and enemy unit variety keeps growing in such a way that many enemies become bullet sponges, demanding you bring him along. - The first campaign (Vanilla DW2) is awesome. But Chaos Rising is just more of the same with spongier enemies. Meanwhile, you don't play a new faction; and many of your squads have the same abilities as before. - This leads to a fairly boring experience. I was really hoping I'd be playing Chaos in Chaos Rising. Instead, I have the same assault squad/tactical marines/decimator squads as before; except weaker, because they took away all the rewards I built up in the first campaign. All in all, I wish this was more of an RTS. I want to build more than one squad of Space Marines. The enemy is fielding 150 troops at once. Meanwhile here I am stuck with 4 Tactical Marines, my hero unit, my psyker/or Dreadnaught, and the other 4 specialists. So in other words, I'm commanding 9 units MAX at all times. I do recommend the first campaign. It's fun for a single playthrough. But despite being a "cover-based shooter," not a lot of cover based shooting goes on. What actually happens is you charge your Dreadnaught in and ground pound. Then charge your Commander in and ground pound. Then charge your assault marines in and ground pound. And on and on until everything has been flattened. Guns/tech take a backseat. Abilities are where it's at. Gimme more shooty stuff. Pls+thx. Also, missions in Chaos Rising are unnecessarily long. The shortest Chaos Rising mission has at least +20 mins on the average base campaign mission. They're overstuffed with enemies for no good reason.
Alors insulter DoW II revient à insulter Tales of Valor. Cf Company of Heroes du coup ! Micro-gestion ? Company of Heroes.
DoW1, DoW 2 and their respective DLCs were probably the gold standard of WH40k games in their time. Whilst there's a number of frustrations to be had due to 2000s-era AI pathing and key-binds/hotkeys, DoW 2 is still a fantastic Tactical RTS game. Grain of salt for anyone who played DoW 1 that this is a completely different game with no base-building or tech trees, plays its cards closer to DotA than Warcraft or Starcraft.
