Idk what I just spent 10 minutes playing but I don't think it should be a higher dislike ratio than Overwatch 2 so I'm giving this a thumbs up

7.5/10 this game is actually pretty fun. There is no option for english though, so good luck navigating the menus. It's a plant vs zombies esque game so there's a bit of a nostalgia factor for me.
Игра «War of Three Kingdoms» — увлекательный стратегический проект с глубокой исторической базой.
Warning: Microtransaction infested mobile app! This game is infested with a toxic mobile app style cash shop. You will be prompted to and expected to give money to the developers through this cash shop to buy in-game goods so you can play the game.
"War of Three Kingdoms" is one of thousands of nasty mobile apps infesting the "free" section of Steam, but it's not really free. This mobile app/browser app is a cash shop with a Plants vs Zombies ripoff game and a Chinese Three Kingdoms era skin stapled on like something out of Silence of the Lambs. There's only a superficial game here. The game visuals and the game itself are incredibly shallow... think of them as the too-bright, colourful, thin plastic cabinet dress theme on a poker machine at the casino. That's basically what this is. So really, the mobile app "game" is just a veneer, a thin skin wrapped around a nasty, predatory mobile app cash shop. Putting that toxic mobile app monetisation aside... this is a mobile app. I didn't spend thousands on a gaming PC so I could pretend it's an iPhone, and I don't think you did either... this kind of mobile app has no place in your Steam library. This game is fairly dated at 6 years old... and even back then it looked old and busted compared to contemporary, professionally made 3D games of the same period. It looked bad then, it looks worse now. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. There's no initial download price, but the developer was charging $3 USD for this. And that's as well as the cash shop. Price barriers, especially on low quality products, can be a direct cause of failure. It seems like a nice gesture for the game to have no up-front cost anymore, but it also tells us that the game wasn't good enough to succeed as a paid product. This is also a bit of a slap in the face to anyone who showed enough questionable judgement to pay money for this... nobody got refunded. In terms of public reception, this failed to appeal to the 130 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at just a dozen or so concurrent players, and now there's basically nobody playing it. Even though it's free. This is a dismal public reception, but it's easy to see why gamers rejected it. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.
-Đồ họa xấu -Gameplay kém hấp dẫn =>4/10
this game changed my life like it was really speaking to me, the foreign language, like the market with only 10 items in the entire game, with the bottom of my heart, i can confirm i cant wait for the next sequel, i would deep fry my hamster to play this game!
Would reccomend. Review: A Brilliant Blend of Strategy, History, and Immersion – War of Three Kingdoms Delivers ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) War of Three Kingdoms is one of the most compelling strategy experiences I’ve played in years. Whether you're a longtime fan of historical warfare or a newcomer to grand strategy games, this title delivers an incredibly satisfying blend of tactical depth, political intrigue, and narrative immersion rooted in one of the most dramatic periods in Chinese history. 🎯 Gameplay That Rewards Thoughtful Strategy The game strikes a perfect balance between large-scale warfare and delicate diplomacy. Each faction offers unique playstyles, encouraging you to adapt and think several moves ahead. From managing city infrastructure and resources to navigating complex alliances and betrayals, every decision feels weighty and impactful. The real-time battles are thrilling. Watching your armies clash—complete with cavalry charges, arrow volleys, and heroic duels—never gets old. Meanwhile, the turn-based overworld ensures you always have time to plan your long-term strategies. 🧠 Rich Historical Depth Set during the turbulent era of the Three Kingdoms (circa 220–280 AD), the game goes beyond surface-level storytelling. Characters like Cao Cao, Liu Bei, and Sun Quan are more than just names—they’re full-fledged personalities with rivalries, philosophies, and ambitions. The developers clearly did their homework, and the optional historical mode lets you follow a more accurate timeline if you're a history purist. 🎨 Stunning Visuals and Atmosphere The map is breathtaking. From lush river valleys to mountain strongholds, every region feels alive and distinct. Cutscenes and dialogues are beautifully animated, and unit designs reflect historical Chinese armor and weapons with impressive detail. Even the UI feels refined and thematic without ever becoming cluttered. 🎼 Immersive Soundtrack and Voice Work The musical score deserves special mention—it blends traditional Chinese instruments with cinematic flair, enhancing tension in battles and calm in governance. The voice acting (especially in the original Chinese) adds tremendous gravitas to character interactions. You feel the weight of the decisions you're making, especially when allies turn into enemies. 🔁 High Replay Value Thanks to the variety of factions, dynamic AI, and branching choices, no two campaigns play out the same. You might try unifying the realm with virtuous diplomacy in one run, and with ruthless conquest in the next. There are also multiple difficulty levels and mods that allow for both casual playthroughs and deep strategic challenges. Final Verdict War of Three Kingdoms is not just a game—it's an experience. It's a love letter to a legendary era, combining deep mechanics with compelling storytelling and remarkable polish. Whether you're rallying peasants under a noble banner or scheming from behind palace walls, this game immerses you in a world of honor, betrayal, and ambition. If you have even a passing interest in history, tactics, or empire-building games, War of Three Kingdoms is a must-play.
