About
Overview
War of Dots is a minimalist real-time strategy game. Command your armies in real-time battles across a variety of maps. Capture cities, manage resources, and defeat your rivals.

Game Details
The key idea in War of Dots is simplicity. Unlike most other strategy games, it doesn’t rely on complex mechanics.
There are only two types of units: light – perfect for fighting in numbers, effective in most terrains, and cheaper to produce; and heavy – slower and less maneuverable, effective only in clear terrain, but with high damage and health, making them ideal for breakthroughs and impenetrable defenses.
The economy is just as simple. Cities produce new units and supply existing ones. Each city supports up to five units; if there are more, the excess units will starve. By capturing cities, you gain an economic advantage over your opponent.
That’s all you need to know! Download the game and prove your place in history alongside legends like Napoleon and Alexander the Great.

This game is just fun. It cuts all the fluff, and you're left with good old micro management
very good
I want more lightweight map games like this, but as it stands now it is just too heavily favored towards defense. I win a little bit over half of the time when I sit on defense and hold a large number of troops in reserve but lose nearly every game where I make the first attack. Maybe it's a skill issue but it feels like games with several competent players turn into a 30+ minute game of who values their time more than winning. Maybe a small amount of ranged units or something to discourage never moving your units would help.
Wonderful RTS. The mechanics and troops are simple but it still allows for a high skill ceiling and tricks. The maps are pretty well balanced not counting continent mode. Continent mode is similar to Fox Hole where your victories effect the overall map and who controls which territory. The discord is also similar where there's two sides Red and Blue. You're able to join for the duration of the war. Most of the time it's fun however, sometimes the auto generated map can screw you over where you're unable to win no matter what you do. The community on discord is very welcoming with plenty of tips for newer players on how to get good at the game. Plus this game is free so why not give it a try for a few games.
