VROOM KABOOM is a brand-new type of gameplay experience. A "Tower Rush with Vehicles", this game combines elements from collectible card games, tower defense and multiplayer online battles. Build a deck of vehicles and deploy them into battle against other players online. It ends in destruction.
Revenue comes from in-game items and microtransactions, which our price-based model doesn't estimate. Copies below reflect the player base, not paid sales.
Note: Dead PvP game This game contains no meaningful single player content. There are no available servers and no player population. This game cannot be played as intended.
Vroom Kaboom is a dead PvP game. Why did it fail? It's video game autopsy time! Vroom Kaboom is an unpopular attempt at a "Tower Rush with Vehicles" game, mixing collectible card game features with tower defense and online multiplayer battles. Players must build decks using collected vehicle cards. In matches, they deploy these vehicles and drive them with the basic goal of destroying opponent structures. This is a bit of a train wreck with a schizophrenic design method, trying to be too many things at once... a driving game, a CCG, a tower attack, a VR tech demo... it failed at all these things, through sloppy code, lack of playtesting, lack of optimisation, lack of bug fixes, and terrible controls. And it's not even free, the devs deceptively tried to mislead gamers... you have to pay premium if you want to play this properly... that's cancer. Almost every PvP exclusive game on Steam fails. Only a tiny proportion of them "go viral". This game failed for many of the same reasons those others fail. The chief of which is the developer thinking that their game will "go viral" without actually creating any reason for it do so. Competition amongst PvP centric games is extreme, and there's only a finite player base to appeal to. This game failed to reach any kind of critical mass and died as a result. Let's go into some of the reasons this particular game failed to appeal to gamers, despite the zero up front cost. First and foremost, there's no meaningful single player content. The developer gambled that other players would be an acceptable substitute for adding storytelling, level design etc to the game. They lost that bet. Without a huge community of players or single player content to add a lasting value to the game, the game dies. Developers must learn that other players are not an acceptable substitute for adding content to a game. I'm not sure if this is an asset flip, but it's one of those cases where the assets just look much better than the rest of the quality of the game... a glaring inconsistency. There's no evidence, but as always, the biggest problem with asset flips besides the plagiarism is the deplorably low quality of the other aspects of the game, and even if the game assets are genuinely created for the game, the quality of the rest of the game is indistinguishable from that of asset flips. As mentioned, this isn't really free as the game is infested with mobile app store like microtransactions. This is a consumer hostile model that we don't need to see on PC. It's deceptively priced to gouge gamers, and that's a reason in itself to avoid this. Even after that, this is only free in a rudimentary sense... the developer has their hand out a $20 USD "donation" DLC for this as you're expected to buy extra DLC from Steam to "support" the developer... digital panhandling. Like the homeless guys who splash dirty water on your windscreen at the traffic lights. No thanks. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at less than 100 concurrent players, they couldn't even break three figures, and now there's basically nobody playing it. Even though it's free. This is a dismal public reception, but it's easy to see why gamers rejected it. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.
Cool concept that is well executed.
personalmente me parece una estupidez de juego. una perdida de tiempo, y visualmente acabas literalmente mareado, ya que el cerebro piensa que va en una direccion y el VEHICULO no reacciona tan rapido. MAREADO- DESINSTALADO.
im definetly sure you can find joy in this game with friends, its got POTENTIAL, though i think its a big SHAME that IT ISNT A RACING GAME or anything like that, its UNFORTUNATELY just A TWO BASE VEHICULAR COMBAT GAME, two players on the opposite of each other, able to spawn numerous cars on SMALL but rather FUN Maps The Destruction is pretty darn nice and looks good enough to bring you satisfaction, its far from wreckfest or flatout or gta 4, rather just explosions and part loss, but because of the HIGH SPEED COLLISIONS, the Vehicles give off a MAD MAX FURY ROAD STYLE feeling when COLLIDING. - My suggestion for the Developers: Please Bring In a Racing Mode and focus on that mode abit more, my friends too were disappointed of it not being a racer game or smth like that, like atleast bring in something that is either racer, or maybe some mad max-y car chases instead of two places battling as bases
Кайфы. На 10 винде не запускается
