When the game opens, the interface flickers for a bit and then goes black, leaving only the background music. No solution has been found yet.
Fazit: Tolle Atmosphäre, tolle Musik, tolle Spielidee, reibungslose Umsetzung. Ein tolles Spiel, unbedingt ausprobieren!

After years of sitting in my library, I decided to reinstall it to finish hunting the last of the achievements... and I am glad I did. Not only is it well worth the paltry sum of 99¢ I paid for, it also scratched the itch for those Victorian Gothic fiction novels that I was obsessed with as a teen. While I wouldn't exactly call this an RPG visual novel per se - unless you count your class' alignment changing, as much as your stats, based upon your choices; I would consider this to be more of a text-based VN with gorgeous and extremely dark artwork that I would love love to see more games of this type available on Steam. Pity this one was removed for some reason, as I have had zero issues running it on a fresh copy of Windows 10 that never had Flash installed. Go figure! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Note: If you experience a black screen (just after seeing the logo) after starting the game, right click the game in your Library and go to Manage > Browse local files and delete the logo-sectiongames.flv file located in the game's Video folder.
Although limited in scope the game is highly replayable and full of interesting choices.
lots of fun and interesting choices to make
Overall pretty fun and I like the general feel and atmosphere of the game too.
The story is a jumble. Like puzzle-pieces that don't entirely fit together. Full review here.
It's amazing how something so simple and short can be so intriguing at the same time. It's better than probably 90% of the text-based graphic novel games out there, because it is consistent in its narrative, your choices have significant importance and it does not hold your hand - you learn through trial and error. My only criticism is that the character you play as may engage in conversation about things that you haven't actually discovered in the game itself as if you have. Sadly, a thing that won't be fixed by the looks of it.
This game is good, different, but good. It takes some patience.
