Doesn't launch anymore
I wrote two sentences in my review last year, but this game deserves more then that. I have been playing Virtua tennis series for almost two decades. Masterpiece started with Virtua tennis 3, wich imo is still very much addictive as it was in 2007 when it got a release. Well when Virtua tennis 4 hit the shelves, my feelings at first was mixed. Game felt different then its predecessor, while more and more i got into it, the more i realized, that VT4 gameplay has more depth and with AI being more inteligent. AI modifies gameplay according to the scores and also the playstyles of players / caracters in VT4 are very different between them. The only thing i miss a little, is the dificulty in AI in VT4. While Virtua tennis 3 had monster dificulty with AI (especialy in final tournaments+two bosses who are crazzy hard in that game), the VT4 had little less crazzy dificulty, but at the same time, its "just right" , in order for you to enjoy it and replay it over and over again, with less frustration. What i love about the game (offline mode) is, that u can always create yourself a challenge-even after 10 years mastering the gameplay, you can always create a challenge for yourself. Picking "Boss" caracter or any other with harder style, while u pick lower playstyle caracter, game becomes interesting even after so many years. Thats where difference between playstyles comes in handy. World tour is great, mini games are fun, and it gets you to replay it over and over again, using different playstyles. Arkade mode is fun ,since AI is harder in arkade mode then it is in exibition mode. Online code written by SEGA is amaizing. Maybe its based on "stupid" GFWL system, but when it comes to the conectivity between players, lag or frame inputs its amaizing. U can even play tennis online for example with a player in Japan with one in Europe.-it works! Quite a few players still have online so much fun (singles, doubles) after 11 years of its release, since many consider this game still best tennis game to date! Sega what r u waiting for. Make another!!!!

Like others have said, game will no longer launch
Game needs a connection to windows marketplace wich has been replaced by the new infamous Microsoft Store but do not think anyone thought about migrating anything to let this game run and of course you can not refund it
The end of the SEGA sports golden era. The most complete and fun entry in the Virtua Tennis series. The career mode is loads of fun. Controls are solid, matches are intense, if you can find a key out in the wild, grab it. This is a must own for tennis fans.
Game doesn't launch anymore since GFWL hasn't been removed and it won't install or run, so the game cannot start as well.

So this is a Yes and no type of answer. Yes I do recommend this game as it is alot of fun. But the no part is from the Windows Live being needed. It can be a pain to get Windows Live up and running and if you do get it to work it still can take up to 10mins for the game to work fully and ask for the CD Key. All in all the game is great and pretty fun. Just make sure to find a way to make it work with or without windows live.
The last Tennis game you'll ever played. Too bad they never cared to change GFWL to Steam servers like old capcom and from software games did.
