Amazing game! Pros: - Very solid gameplay! - Interesting and challanging enemies (my hate for flies intensified) - Great buildup and story - Nice music and sound effects - Significant progression system (minor) Cons: - Minor bugs - Map would be useful - Can't pet the cat (!?) I'm really proud I've supported it (check the Special Thanks in the credits in doubt).

Veil of Shadows is a wonderful adventure game where you fight for survival around every corner. No seriously, you'll be fighting off swarms around every corner. Level up to become a bow wielding baddie and enjoy the occasional story board that is beautifully done. Rolling skeletons, red wizards and some wild bosses, Veil of Shadows offers more than I thought it would. I'm not great at the game but I think that is what I enjoy the most. The unexpected challenge. It surely isn't the thieving flies in the game. Curse you! The devs seem hard at work as well working on some of the minor hiccups in the game. Controller support works really well so that is always a plus for me. If you're on the fence, try out the demo like I did. Or just take a chance. The price is definitely worth it. Now I'm back out to see if I can find my way through this next area.

A beautiful one, As a small preface, since my playing time is not yet high, I have invested a lot of time in the demo version. Veil of Shadows is, all in all, a perfect package of a cool story that you can get into from the beginning, but also action-packed through the battles you experience while searching for the memories of the past. So if you're looking for a relaxing game for a stressful day at work, Veil of Shadows is definitely the game for you! I have been supporting the dev's of ImponixGames for over a year now, and I can tell you: This team shows what 2 people can achieve when they develop games with passion and dedication! Regular updates on their social media account also show a healthy and open basis of communication with the community, and a great transparency towards us. So if you were unsure whether the game is really for you, then you should check out the free demo and play for yourself! Personally, I give this game a solid 8 out of 10 points. I like it for what it is--a small scale game that focuses on doing a few things well. Obviously, I'd like to get more out of it--in terms of combat mechanics/abilities, enemy variety and strategy, and so on--but it's good as is for the price. We need more games like this, specifically games that are enjoyable, simple, cheap, and provide a low-risk opportunity for devs to hone their craft.
