Based on my experience with V Rising—from its stunning world design and innovative combat mechanics to its solid story—I rate the game 9.5/10. However, it’s disappointing that in 2026, with advanced AI tools available, the developers still haven’t added Arabic language support. While I’m fluent in English, many players in the Arab world are not, and this limits accessibility for a large audience. It’s a real shame, because the game deserves to be enjoyed by everyone.
An entertaining game with great base building and crafting elements. There are some interesting boss fights too. It's a shame that the devs have no further plans for updates, there's a lot of potential in this game. The main storyline in normal mode has around 60 hours of playtime. There is a bit of a grind factor in the Legendary Ancestral Weapon Shard drop rate. There is also a bit of a RNG factor when trying to get good stats on Ancestral Weapons and Spell Jewels.
V Rising has got to be the most boring vampire game ever made. You get to play the world's slowest vampire who is weaker than a malnourished child, killing endlessly respawning MOBA minions patrolling a randomly generated world map with a generic primary attack for scraps of trash used to build a castle and upgrade gear. Except everything is maxed out in the first hour and the rest of the upgrades seem to be locked behind bosses that you have to somehow kill with your anemic excuse of a vampire who can't run, roll, dodge, or even block attacks, except for dash and parry spells that are both on a cooldown. The character is so slow you can't even get out of area of effect attacks unless you have the dash spell primed. As a result, fights turn into slow, deliberate slogs of perfectly timed attacks and parries, while manually rotating the camera to keep the character and the boss in view. Sure, you can keep grinding to unlock more spells and abilities, making the character faster and stronger, but to what end? So you can grind some more? The game is just fundamentally not fun to play. Oh, and you can't even sleep through the day, so half the time you are crouched in the shadow of a tree somewhere, waiting for the sun to go down so you can keep going. Sounds fun, doesn't it?
Game starts out great, but quickly becomes a MASSIVE grindfest as you get towards the end. + combat is fun + cool builds + all abilities useful + coop up to 4 players +/- No levels by themselves. You level by crafting better armor. Think Monster hunter. +/- Game is a boss run. - Grind fest - No story whatsoever. - Game can be played solo but it's definitely meant for more than 1 player. - Durability. Why do devs add durability to armor and weapons and everything else. Get rid of it, or give us an option to disable it. When you die to a boss, you take a big durability hit. Once your armor/weapon breaks, you drop in level (see below). Dropping in level in this game is HUGE. It's bad if it's mid-boss fight. - Towards the endgame, armor breaks, and the materials to fix it are what create all the grinding you have to do to repair your gear. Very annoying. - The sun is an interesting concept, but it's absolutely stupid to put in a game like this. And you cannot turn it off. Best you can do is turn down its timer. The sun itself will make or break an entire fight. I do not understand why devs didn't give us the option to just disable it entirely. Playing on the hardest difficulty makes this so much more annoying. I get the positive reviews. I want to recommend it. But I can't because of these annoying things that should've been dumped when the game was in early access. If these things ever get fixed and I get notified, I will change my review to a thumbs up without hesitation, as the bosses are very fun and unique to fight, albeit, some very annoying to fight too. This can be overlooked. The other issues cannot.
They should do a frost expansion that expands Hallowed Mountains and add a frost soul shard. I'll gladly hand over my money to see that.
Diablo 3, if it was good.
Tried twice, stupidly linear fetch, craft and fight game with limited exploration, which gets incredibly repetitive.
Trash.
