About

You wake up by the side of the road with a headache and a stranger's jacket.
You don’t recognise it. You don’t recognise the man whose ID you find in the pocket, either.
So why does an older version of you stare back when you turn on his phone?
...And why is she smiling beside him?

Unquiet Grey is a visual novel about love and grief. It features:
An emotional love story wrapped in a timeloop tragedy. Over 11k words or around an hour of love and heartbreak.
Gorgeous original art. Watch the story come to life through beautiful illustrations by Asrielle, creator of the webcomic Queen's Trial. An in-game camera mode allows for easy viewing.
An original soundtrack that combines soft guitar and an indie rock feel.
A nameable protagonist and love interest. Customise the experience or leave names as default.
An adorable doggo
A silver-haired sweetheart to love over and over and over. You can't save him. But that's okay. You'll just go back and see him again. And again and again-

A beautiful game about loss, grief and the difficulty of moving on. I absolutely loved everything about it, especially the soundtrack.
This story reminded me of "what if" in my romantic relationship, how I would choose him every time, every loop. It's a beautiful and gut-wrenching story. True magic.
Absolutely gut-wrenching, I've never been emotionally impacted by straight romance b4. Even the music is good, the last song hits hard. +++ Would read again

Okay... that was a good cry. Short, beautiful story and message about grief and pain. Play it if you have 45 minutes to an hour of free time and feel like having a good cry and a good story.
I cannot believe this game is free to play. Lovely, well written, accomplished what it set out to do. Excellent work.
I had my first playthrough and I was wondering why there were so many loops. You could almost say it's a psychological horror genre. Terrors beyond what most people would say is "Normal" because it just shreds what humanity someone has left. Good god, My heart just wants to wrap both of them up in a full embrace and kiss them deeply. It's beautiful. It hurts so bad. The last song had my head on the table for 20 minutes while I cried. It's not fair you know, being human is one of the hardest things to be and this game represents it perfectly.
Beautiful game. I was crying for about 20 minutes, thanks for that! The art is gorgeous and the music is too! Just play this game, it's short and bittersweet. I would have paid for this, it shouldn't be free! I am excited to check out more games by this developer.
This game genuinely brought me to tears. The emotions, the art, the music, the story. Everything was so beautiful. As someone who has such a deep interest on topics of love, this portrayed so well how much losing someone you love hurts. If you love sad romances I 10/10 recommend this it's amazing.
I don't know if this had such an emotional impact because I have direct experience in the subject matter (minus the timeloops, though it felt like my head was going through multiple timeloops at the time), but they have captured the essence of grief and loss and all the emotions that come alongside it perfectly. I'm still sitting here in tears as I write this, but the story was beautiful in it's own tragic way and exceptionally poignant. 10/10
A beautiful, hour long journey of love and heartbreak. This is just too good to be free.
