Warning: Asset Flip! Unlock the Feelings is one of literally thousands of creatively bankrupt asset flips infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere.
This is another appalling low effort asset flip from Mens Sana, complete with their usual fake/paid reviews from the Russian review farm uncovered by Sentinels of the Store. The developer ripped off a basic game template for a "Mastermind" style code breaker, skinned it with some assets stolen off the internet, and tried and failed to scam people into buying it with a ludicrously inflated price. This kind of thing is never okay, and we must question why it's permitted on Steam... it's purposely a fake game intended to defraud gamers out of money, as the developer tries to get YOUR money for other people's assets. And Mens Sana does this a lot. Unlock the Feelings is partially or completely made up of stock assets, "borrowed" from asset stores and free asset websites. Little, if anything in this game is the creation of the "developer". An important note: Mens Sana Interactive are known asset flippers and have previously taken other developers work and put it on Steam in an attempt to scam gamers and get paid for someone else's effort. Mens Sana Interactive have shown a repeated pattern of trying to scam gamers, here are some examples of other asset flip scams they've pulled:

"My Little Prince - a jigsaw puzzle tale" = Jigsaw Puzzle Creator Kit developed by Allebi
"Alice in Wonderland" = Jigsaw Puzzle Creator Kit developed by Allebi
"Buddy and Lucky Solitaire" = Polygon City Low Poly 3D Art developed by Synty Studios
"How Buddy’s parents met - a jigsaw puzzle tale" = Jigsaw Puzzle Creator Kit developed by Allebi
"Lucky and a Life Worth Living" = Jigsaw Puzzle Creator Kit developed by Allebi
"Magic Lessons in Wand Valley" = Jigsaw Puzzle Creator Kit developed by Allebi
While there's no up front price for this asset flip, the other problem with asset flips is that when developers aren't capable of doing their job and creating high quality assets, it's also true they can't do any of the rest of the job of a game developer either. That's definitely true for "Unlock the Feelings", and this kind of asset flipping never results in games that have quality or value for PC gamers. There's no initial download price, but the developer was charging TWENTY SEVEN UNITED STATES DOLLARS for this. Price barriers, especially on low quality products, can be a direct cause of failure. It seems like a nice gesture for the game to have no up-front cost anymore, but it also tells us that the game wasn't good enough to succeed as a paid product. This is still only free in a rudimentary sense... the developer has their hand out for a $5 USD "donation" for this as you're expected to buy soundtrack DLC from Steam to "support" the "developer"... digital panhandling. Like the homeless guys who splash dirty water on your windscreen at the traffic lights. No thanks.
Warning: Review Manipulation! This game features a number of fake positive reviews from accounts known to be in the business of review manipulation/paid reviews. They're all written in either Russian or broken English, appear at almost exactly the same time, very shortly after the game launched on Steam, all have a direct Steam purchase of the game, and the accounts are used consistently to write fake reviews for asset flips and other cash grabs/scams. The "Positive" review score on this game should be disregarded due to this blatant, unethical review manipulation. This is done to deceive and scam gamers into paying for a bad product. Due to the 2024 FTC ruling (16 CFR Part 465), these fake reviews are a violation of US Federal Law.
Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.
A cute, casual and free game. Not very challenging for adults. Even with the least amount of tries (6) it seems impossible to lose, but you still have to use your brain a little bit.
I personally like it and could imagine myself coming back to it, but I wouldn't recommend it to other people in general. The tutorial is poorly written, and essentially shoots itself in the foot. You will be slammed in the face with a bunch of poorly written English that doesn't make a lot of sense. It is a Wordle, with poor UI, and lots of colors with unclear meaning that make it hard to relax. There is no way to undo it when you click on another card by mistake, making it irritating. For a puzzle game endorsing mental health awareness, it requires a lot of working memory. What is good is that the music is soft and gentle, the art style cute and feminine. It's free, so if you like this in a puzzle game, it might be worth it.
Не очень, похоже на Wordle
game has similar concept to the wordly but this one doesnt make sense, its free, you can try it. the explanation in the tutorial i think is kinda bad. other than that, it could be better.
Great Game but look at that kitty, whoever pass by can pet it and give it a thumbs up. Have a nice day :3 /> フ | _ _ l /` ミ_xノ / | / ヽ ノ │ | | | / ̄| | | | | ( ̄ヽ__ヽ_)__)
Cute-looking game, however, it's a plain puzzle game. The feelings things is just flavor; instead of feelings it could have easily been fruit or vegetables, i.e. the logic for solving has nothing to do with feelings. As a puzzle game it's quite easy. It's free, yes, but I don't see the appeal at all.
Sadly, it's a very easy game. There is a simple way of winning every time. I played for an hour only for of the achievements.
