Great game if you really know how to manage free premium currency. Contrary to what one might think, getting horses doesn't make your team stronger (except for few exceptions like XOguri Cap or Curren Chan). This game is unforgiving if you spend your carrots mindlessly on random cards. This game has a little to no pity system unllike gachas made by Mihoyo/Kuro. So it is possible to roll 200 pulls without getting the horse/card you want. Most banners in Uma Musume are luxury banners, so it is mandatory to get 3LB/MLB (getting 3 or more copies of the same card) for some cards to be viable. Getting some of the best cards (like Kitasan/Fine Motion/Super Creek) to 3LB is a bit easier with events that provide card selectors or rainbow crystals, because you can then choose a card that you need most. Aside from gacha, the gameplay loop of choosing a suitable deck, RNG management is really satisfying. Though some scenarios are more RNG based. It is not a beginner friendly game as it has a lot of hidden mechanics that are not really well explained in the lackluster Daiwa Scarlet tutorial. So grabbing a guide is a must for new players. Also one should treat this game like a marathon. Instead of focusing on the short term processes of the game (getting worse stats, sparks etc.), a new player shouldn't be discouraged by their uma's performance. Don't compare yourself to other people. Their account state, circumstances and a lot of other factors might not reflect yours. Focus on getting better and only look at your OWN performance as a trainer. With all that being said. Eclipse first and the rest is nowhere. Good luck Torenas, you'll need it.
