As long as you're lucky, and you like anime style gacha games, you'll love this game, even as F2P. If not, then yeah though luck, except if you're a whale, do whatever you want lol.

I usually let my partner play the game for us and I'd watch her do careers. But when she was away, I had to take over the game for a bit and it was a lot more difficult than I thought. But it was very fun and I can't wait to tell her all about my experiences with it. 10/10 would be a trainer again ;p

Umamusume is very much an RNG on RNG on RNG game. And you need to get good Support Cards to the point F2P will have low to no chance of pulling new characters outside of accumulating free pull tickets and the occasional free pull events. You will be spending a lot of time running and rerunning characters, trying to hit specific sparks to make better honses and hope for more and better sparks before you want to try making an actually good character. Recently released auto mode makes that spark chasing so much easier, or at least less stressful since you dont need to play the parent farm as much anymore. If you are fine with all of that, Umamusume also has a lot of fun and other stories for each character and scenario to occupy your time. As someone playing for... almost a year now, I wouldn't recommend this game, but feel free to give it a try, it is free.

CUTE HORSE GIRLS BASED OFF REAL HORSES IN AN ANIME STYLE THAT IS NOT A GOONER GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! . . . . Did that work? Anyways, on with the review! For a basic line up, Horse girls based off real japanese race horses are basically personified. You train them, and make sure that each race they are in, they reach their goals in order to progress. Really cute game, amazing voice acting, unbelievably good movements, etc, etc! There are many things to do in this game, so you won't get bored within just an hour or two of playing. But... I will say this game has quite a few downs, all in the racing area. Even if you have a decent strategy, most likely, you will fail multiple goals, therefore, unable to progress. The races rely almost entirely around skills, and you need skillpoints to get skills even with hints, (discounts,) They are extremely expensive. But many hints help with velocity or pace, Which means if you dont have the same skills as other teammate, you are guaranteed to loose. it gets EXTREMELY frustrating. Skillpoints are hard to get, and you dont even get any opportunities to get them, and soon enough, BARELY any time to train your umamusume. But, it is still a good game. would recommend.
