I downloaded this as I typically enjoy hidden object games. That is not the case for this one. The "objects" are various numbers, letters, and symbols with some of them being a stretch. This game is nothing more than a mobile or facebook game, complete with the constant nagging for microtransactions.

Twisted Worlds is a free-to-play hidden object adventure developed and published by Absolutist Ltd. that blends fantasy, history, science fiction, and puzzle-solving into a surprisingly ambitious casual gaming experience. While many hidden object titles focus primarily on isolated mysteries and standalone locations, Twisted Worlds attempts to build a much larger narrative centered on time travel, alternate realities, and the preservation of human history. The result is a game that offers considerably more scope than many of its genre counterparts while maintaining the accessible gameplay that hidden object fans expect. The story revolves around a catastrophic disruption in the timeline that has caused reality itself to become unstable. Historical events, magical realms, and alternate dimensions begin colliding with one another, threatening the natural flow of history. Players are tasked with traveling through different periods of civilization in an effort to restore balance and prevent the collapse of both the real world and a parallel magical universe. This premise provides a strong sense of purpose and gives the adventure a larger narrative framework than many casual puzzle games. One of the game's most distinctive features is its use of historical exploration. As players progress through the storyline, they visit locations inspired by different eras and cultures, encountering references to important moments in human development. The game incorporates themes involving science, philosophy, art, politics, and technological advancement, creating an educational undertone that complements the fantasy narrative. While the historical elements are simplified for accessibility, they add an extra layer of interest that helps distinguish the game from more conventional hidden object adventures. The hidden object gameplay remains the core attraction. Players search detailed environments for carefully concealed items while completing objectives tied to the larger storyline. The scenes are densely populated with objects, encouraging careful observation and attention to detail. To prevent the gameplay from becoming repetitive, the game frequently introduces different search formats. Items may be represented through words, silhouettes, symbols, or alternative clues, forcing players to adapt their approach and remain engaged. Exploration is enhanced by the concept of two interconnected worlds. Locations often exist in both a historical reality and a magical counterpart, each presenting unique visual themes and gameplay opportunities. Revisiting familiar areas under different circumstances helps create variety and reinforces the central narrative about worlds merging together. This mechanic gives the environments greater depth and allows the game to make creative use of its settings. Beyond hidden object scenes, players encounter a variety of puzzles and mini-games. These challenges typically involve logic, pattern recognition, matching mechanics, and environmental problem-solving. While the puzzles are generally designed to remain accessible to casual audiences, they provide enough diversity to break up the core search gameplay and maintain a steady pace. Their inclusion helps the experience feel more like a complete adventure rather than a simple collection of hidden object levels. Progression is built around a large number of objectives, collections, and unlockable content. Players gather artifacts, complete missions, earn rewards, and gradually expand their access to new areas. The collection system is particularly noteworthy because it encourages exploration and provides additional goals beyond advancing the main story. Completionists will find plenty of reasons to continue playing as they attempt to uncover every collectible and finish every available task. Visually, Twisted Worlds succeeds in creating colorful and imaginative environments. Historical locations, magical landscapes, and fantastical settings are filled with decorative details that make them enjoyable to explore. The artwork is vibrant and varied, helping each location feel distinct from the last. Although the graphics are not technically groundbreaking, they effectively support the game's adventurous tone and contribute to its sense of wonder. The atmosphere benefits greatly from the fusion of fantasy and history. Players constantly move between realistic environments and magical distortions, creating a sense of unpredictability that keeps the adventure fresh. The narrative's focus on time travel and alternate realities allows for considerable variety, ensuring that the game rarely feels confined to a single visual or thematic style. Like many free-to-play hidden object games, Twisted Worlds is not entirely free from repetition. Some objectives require revisiting locations multiple times, and the progression structure occasionally relies on repeated searches to unlock new content. Players looking for a tightly focused narrative may also find the sheer volume of side activities somewhat overwhelming. However, for fans of the genre, these systems often provide the long-term engagement that hidden object adventures are known for. What ultimately makes Twisted Worlds memorable is the ambition behind its concept. By combining time travel, historical exploration, magical fantasy, and hidden object gameplay into a single adventure, it creates a world that feels larger and more imaginative than many comparable titles. The educational elements, narrative scope, and diverse environments help elevate it beyond a standard casual puzzle experience. For players who enjoy hidden object games with strong progression systems and expansive settings, Twisted Worlds offers a rewarding journey filled with mystery, exploration, and discovery. Its combination of imaginative storytelling, varied gameplay mechanics, historical themes, and extensive content provides many hours of entertainment. While the repetitive nature of some activities may not appeal to everyone, fans of casual adventure games will likely find plenty to enjoy within its richly detailed and creatively designed world. While the game itself is fun, there appears to have not been an update in some time. A fair majority of the information in the game is factual, some of the information is given at incorrect years. Also, the game rewards players fairly generously with additional trivia questions and achievements, but as stated from other reviewers, the achievement system is broken. I have played both this version and the mobile phone version and it seems that the mobile phone version is updated more than this version as the mobile version has additional locations and the facebook friends integration while this one still awaits integration and new locations. Other than that the characters are charming and gives players an inside look at the development of common objects that we see on a daily basis. I would recommend this game for those who like looking at the evolution of objects and history buffs.
Good game needs to open up friend section, great way to learn about the past.
This is not only crap, but cash-grab-in-your-face BS crap. Can not get more then 1/5 from me... Altho some of the games inside are ok, the whole package on average is absolutely horrible.
I don’t recommend this game. It might be alright but the game won’t even load I’ve tried updating it and it makes no difference.
If you want to be confused as to what you just purchased and remain convinced that it is in face a phone or social media game then this is the whatever it is for you. It's not really hidden object and more like going to high school all over again. I don't know why I had to make things count to 10 and did it earn me crystals or did I give them crystals to make me play that? Not worth any money, its not a time waster even as unless you pay money for crystals or spend hours playing count to 10 or sliding numbers (still not sure what the point of that was) then its just making your brain work too hard for something to be fun. Avoid at all costs. Its not even pretty or well done. SIGH.
